Avatar Size ?

I knew that before the server for FFF got moved, the biggest your avatar could be was 150x150 pixels. After the move, however, I decided that I should make an avatar (since the question mark in some places looked repulsive), but after I make one, I notice that the settings for changing your avatar has. . .changed. It now says that I can only use 100x100 avatars, and of course when I upload mine or link it, it gets reduced in size. And there are a LOT of people on this forums that still have their 150x150 avatars default on their profiles, so I'm wondering if it's just something wrong with my profile or if there was a screw up in the system . . . or if the decision to lower the avatar size was on purpose (PLEASE no.) ? :gasp:

I think it really is just your post count? Were you able to use bigger avatars before the server moved? I know people on the actual staff can use 150x150 without a thousand posts, but for us, I don't think that goes. :hmmm:
 
Ah, that might be why, Raye. You normally need over 1000 posts to use 150x150 avatars, unless you've tried since you've become Clan Leader and they allowed it then?
 
I haven't used an avatar before until now, but I have looked at the CP controls for it, and I swear that it said that the limit was 150x150 or (sumthin) kb, whichever was smaller. :hmmm: I'll look through some more profiles to possibly confirm whatever you said though .

The limit will automatically say that, I do believe, however, it's not usable until you reach a certain amount of posts. I think the max size shown there is just there to state it's the MAX size to be used on the board, period. Even if you have over a thousand posts, even if you're in staff, etc etc.
 
Yeah, I just looked through some topics, and noticed that all of the people that under 1000 have 100x100 avatars - so that may have been the issue . :ffs: I haven't been on the forums for too long, so don't be surprised I didn't know that . :wacky: But thanks for telling me anyway ~

You actually have to be a Veteren Member, not just have 1000 posts.. cause I have over 1000 posts and am still limited. :rage:

Exactly, you have over 1k posts so that means you would have to be a veteran member now, why didnt the mods correct this for you?

Sorry, forgot to add that in. It is for the set VetStatus. Meaning you'll have to have all the above plus around a year, it's either that or climb the Staff ladder. xD
