It would just mean that I would have to buy that console too ... so no I still have to get my hands on a PS3, so getting a Nintendo Wii is out of the question.

Wouldn't bother me. If the game utilizes the Wiimote well then I would more than welcome it.

I wouldn't, Final Fantasy has flourished since it became Playstation, and besides, the Wii mainly deals in family interactive games, final fantasy would be difficult to incorporate there.
