As a gamer and a writer, I can't help but try to put some of my loose ideas into the some sort of an organized format. I haven't made anything that could be considered a game, nor have I written anything detailed enough to be considered a game proposal, but I have at least attempted writing and organizing the thoughts I have into some sort of working form. I'm not going to share my thoughts, even though there's probably no point in protecting my ideas. I'm just wondering who else here has dabbled in "game design", what they've design, and how far they've gotten.

I came up with several ideas for videogames but as it turns out I didn't know a thing about programming. So now I'm learning how to make my ideas a reality. I bought some books on game design an I'm prepareing to make my ideas real. Even though I may never release them to the public anytime soon at least until I get better at it.

I wouldn't say he's the King anymore, but I still have lots of respect for him.
Yea, i've dabbled. I remember when I was younger I'd draw concept consoles and games. They were totally awesome...not really.

But senior year of high school, my year long project focused on game design. Unfortunately, being the lazy sod I am, I didn't put any effort into it till the day before my presentation. So, I made some crappy game idea about the show The OC cause it was too easy

I talked to you last night about this. But let me elaborate more here. I haven't exactly written one for a game, but I've had some ideas before, like the characters backgrounds, places, and such. Nothing great or anything, just some random ideas. I should write them on paper, I know. And I really wanna pursue the dream of being a game developer and writer. Buuuut, like I said, I'm too afraid. The game design is a very competitive world, and I don't think I can handle the disappointments and stress.

I must admit though...CAD was fun! ^_^ I saw the word CAD in Jay's desktop when he sent me the link last night. Does that mean...?

Heh, anyway! I would like to see some of your ideas, kiddo. ^_^

Oh man I forgot about that project! Is that what you got in that binder that was on your floor? Unleash the plans man!!
