Anymore characters to get revealed?

Well so far we Have Lightning, Snow, Oerba, Sahz and that Unknown grey haired boy. Well Only 4 plus Team Nora have been revealed. So the question is will more characters be joining Lightning? We need more Villians. Only 2 so far is meh. That Beautiful Commander does not even look like a villian at all. But her voice does sound a bit evil. Well This information should be revealed sooner or later because Final Fantasy XIII is launching next year. I do Hope this game will be the best Final Fantasy.
 
One would assume that they would reveal more characters, unless the four in Team Nora join forces with Lightning, Snow, etc. Since then we'd have about 9 characters that we could control, which is fairly standard for FF.

Although, I think they will reveal more villains, we just need to be patient.
 
I sure hope they don't. It'll ruin everything if you know about every single character before you even play the game.

My friend was saying it has the same kind of storyish to 7? I havnt really played 7 that much.. There a different version of a terrorist group in FF7? And in 13 they are terrorists? My friend told me all this and hes probably just making it all up or read some silly rumours somewhere.. I havnt really read up on 13 tbh.

The only reason he's saying that is because Lightning was made to look like Cloud, and the creators were specifically asked to make a female version of Cloud. So he probably took that and distorted it into some kind of rumor.

I have to agree, it's not really beneficial to reveal all the characters before the release of the game otherwise, apart from the story and the odd other thing, what's there to hope for? :wacky:
I'd personally like to not know characters rather than know them before the release of the game >.>

A few people have spotted similarities between FFVII and FFXIII such as the point that Lightning was designed to be a female version of Cloud and the point that both the opening cutscene for VII and the cutscene for XIII's demo begin on a train. But at the moment, most of these similarities are just trivial. Very little is known about XIII's story at this point. So it's too early to try and spot similarities in my opinion.

Agreed, I don't like knowing too much about a game's story/characters before I play it. But if more information is released about the characters, I probably won't be able to ignore it. So I'd rather not have any new characters revealed, although I'm sure SE will reveal more.
 
We can't KNOW they are gunna release new characters until they actually...do

and Id rather they didn't, it takes the surprise out of the game not knowing who you are gunna get when and if they will be perma-party members, it just takes the fun out of it, this is why I don't read up on it, and why I stay out of most of the threads, if I DO decide I want the game, I don't want to spoil it for myself by knowing everything about it
 
Hey I don"t mean it in that way Im just saying if more characters will be revealed. Yes Kelly we do not know but FF xiii is being released next April. So im sure they will show us atleast 1 oir 2 more characters. Yes I do agree that it spoils the game. But like there just going to be scans so it will not spoil it that much. Why do you think they chose Lightning as a female cloud?

The only one's I had paid any attention to so far are Lightning and Snow. I'm avoiding anymore information on any characters mainly due to the fact that I want to be introduced to them when I stumble upon them in the game at that point.

I figured that Lightning will probably have the lead role, but that could come in conflict when Snow steps up to the plate. I'm not sure we'll know until we actually play through it ourselves. I'm hoping that not too many characters (FFVI) are implemented into the game, but a decent number like FFVIII or FFX had. Around 6 or 7 is a fair number I think.
 
I really hope that team Nora aren't in the playable characters. For some reason they just don't strike me as being main playable characters. I'm hoping MAYBE 1 or 2 more characters may be playable. It'll be interesting if there are only 4, Final Fantasy usually has from 6 to 8 characters doesn't it? Even if there aren't anymore playable ones I think it's still gonna be a good game with just 4.
 
The grey haired boy's name is Hope Estheim. Lightning's real name is not Lightning. It said her actual name is unknown. She is referred to only as "Lightning." That's why she's the only character with no last name. So her real name could be revealed during the game, or maybe at the end.
 
Two new characters will be revealed this fall in Japan, A girl with silver hair pulled into a ponytail (I think her name is Serah) and sazh's son.
 
Just out of curiosity, how do you know this and where are the sources that you discover this information? And if you have pictures could you please post them so we can see as well?

He's correct about Sazh's son and the girl, though I don't know where the silver hair bit and "fall" has come from D;
