Ok, so I was just messin around on google and searched if there would be another FFVII game and read through this whole thread on what the next one in the installment should be (given the ending of DoC). Honestly, I don't really want to see a whole new game, rather than a whole recollection of the series compacted into one game with loose ends tied, secrets revealed, a WORKABLE game style that will do well on all aspects of the game (which obviously SE screwed up changin the game style every other game xD) But yeah, with how much developers can fit on a disc now days I'm sure they could do this, sorta like an ultimate collection.

Maybe a bad idea, I know, but I'd rather not see FFVII get dragged through the mud for a whole other game, rather just have holes filled. Anyway, watcha think?
 
I use to not be able to wait for a new final fantasy game to come out. Now that everything in the series is getting changed a fear a new game would only push fans away. If they really wanted to make some money they could just re-do the early games (1-6) with better graphics. This way they know the games are hits, it doesn't take away from the series, and it keeps fans. Its sad when it comes down to old fans dreading a new installement
 
a full-fledged remake or sequel for the PS3 or PS4 is fine, just not another spin-off
 
Yeah, that would be awesome to do better remakes of the first 6, hopefully though the remakes will be accessable on handhelds cuz that's all I got xD And yeah, another installment would probably suck, that's why I was thinkin just put all the games together and complete FFVII so that first of all everything's cleared up and second off, so that everyone will stop expectin another FFVII game xD
 
I don't care if they make it again or not, but a couple things I'd like to say:

1. Games very rarely offer everything to the gamer. So all of this "I hope they remake it so we can sum everything up" stuff is garbage. If they remade it, they'd fix typo's in the original translation and rev-up the graphics. That's it.

2. If they did a sequel they would call it Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.

3. I understand that this is wishful thinking, but people need to stop thinking remakes are coming. A lot of gamers seem to think SE owes them remakes. SE doesn't owe anyone anything, and if they choose to remake a game then they will. No point in constantly voicing your opinion about a topic that's done on every FF forum everyday.

Well the only spin off that really worked is Dissidia and It recieved great praise, you would have to be a real grumpy prick to find anything really wrong with it outside of a few camera issues here and there.

Where as most of the FFVII spinoffs have recieved some backlash, but are fans gonna complain themselves into a corner and S-E may have enough of being badmouthed and pack it in!

That a bit extreme and most likely will not happen, but its possible.

Most likely Improbable.
 
It's a 20 year project, there's clearly gunna be more shit made

Lets not forget the end of Dirge left more things open than were tied up as well

Yes they more than likely will pick up where Dirge left off, but that does not change the fact that fan reaction has put a bad label on the Compilation, just look in the FFVII forum its full of beatings on about how the Spinoffs have wrecked FFVII with a less amount representing the those who like the series after the fact.

I think if the fans were at S-E and we read what was written here and on other forums, you would really have to consider if its worth your time to make another spinoff,
possibly ruining whats left of FFVII.

I actually like AC & CC the only thing that ruined the experience is when
Angeal "broke" Cloud and Zack out of the Shinra mansion
utter nonsense and un-necessary!
 
I'd rather not have anything more to do with FFVII at all. SE hasn't ruled out a new entry into the Compilation, so there's still a good chance of a new game sometime in the future (God help us if so). Profits come first. If SE thinks a new game will be a potential wallet-filler, they will make one, regardless of whether or not the fandom wants it or not.

And I don't see the necessity in releasing the whole Compilation into one package at all. I mean, that just equates to even more work for SE, tweaking each individual game style to be similar. They may as well just remake FFVII if they're to go down that road. The individual games are available anyway. Also, what happens when SE does decide to make a new entry into the Compilation after releasing the whole package? It would kind of throw the idea of a whole Compilation package out of the window. And as for the missing bits in the plot - they can be filled in with different forms of medium like another Ultimania guide or something.

considering the thread is in the FFVII section, I'd say it was safe to assume I mean that

I don't mind seeing ore stuff, lets face it, we all know it's gunna happen. If you hate it, don't want it etc etc, simple solution? DON'T BUY IT.

That's the argument that a lot of people would automatically ignore. Example: The Quickenings in XII, some people complain about them (a lot) and when told to just not use them, they spout out how they shouldn't change their gameplay to ignore a certain element. People will argue and argue and then use them anyway.

Back to the topic, it's not so much I don't want/hate more installments, it's more the constant threads (more so on other forums) that pop up asking the same damn question. :drag:
 
I am actually quite done with the compilation. If they remake it, I will gladly buy and appreciate it, if not, there are other games for me to play, and I already played the original FFVII enough times as is.

If they continue on the compilation, I say whatever to that too. Dirge left us with a cliffhanger esque secret ending that for all purposes could have just been an easter egg to devoted players. It may mean something and nothing. If it does mean something, then maybe the game should come out to end the confusion, but in all honesty, I think SE's time can be better put into better things.
 
I wanted a remake as well as expansions but they really kinda dissapointed me with the installments they have now. So for the future no.
 
Personally I would love to see them re make ff7 and to tie up the loose ends of derige AND I wouldn't mind them takin 7 and turning it not a movie while they take advant children and make a game out of it
