American Idiot on Broadway...

Okay, well...yeah, I'm disappointed. To be honest, American Idiot was like the soundtrack of my early teenage years. That's what my life consisted of. And now...this. I'm sorry, but the sound of it is just...gay, for lack of a better term. I don't mean to offend, but yeah. However, I will say that the setup looks pretty good. Might be worth a chance...that is, if it comes out on DVD or something. I wouldn't pay broadway prices to see it.

I loved Green Day's American Idiot, but I feel like Broadway's gonna ruin it.

In my experience, Broadway is sort of an acquired taste. Even though you and I can't agree with it, some people will find it to be brilliant, even Green Day themselves possibly. It's not really my cup of tea, but there will definitely be some people that will like it.

I wouldn't be surprised if something similar came for Green Day's current CD, 21st Century Breakdown, considering it's basically a rock opera (even though they deny it). I would actually find that to be a little more interesting than American Idiot, just because it has the added effect of romance and it's twists and turns.
