Algebra

True, you can use calculators, and some teachers even reccommend relying on calculators. (like my current one) o.o and others prefer that you use your head more. I dunno, I just thought it was cool and something different to know.

I hate using my head! Calculators FTW!! no point spending half the exams figuring calculations like 834 X 32 in your head when you can use a calculator...

Exactly...it always pissed me off when I had one of those teachers who wouldn't let us use calculators on exams. Especially love those programmable graphing calculators! Those definitely make things a lot easier!

im still looking for an algebra calculator that can factorise, simplify, expand etc. is there such thing?

I hate using the calculator. My teacher calls it "fly by wire". They don't let you use a calculator in calculus because they want you to understand how to do those problems; not test to see if you know what 5*0.4 is. Besides, a calculator can't help you do calculus problems anyways.

As for that 75*75 question, I would have multiplied 70*70, 70*5*2 and 5*5 and added them all up, but it's really just a condensed version of how you normally would multiply it. You just don't have to remember adding the zeroes or anything.
