Al Gore DID NOT deserve that award.

Why? Because THIS is the woman who LOST to him:

Irena Sendler.
A Polish woman who during the Holocaust, saved the lives of over 2500 Jewish Children. When she was caught for these actions by the Gestapo, she was severely tortured and sentenced to death. She was saved by a bribe on her way to execution.

Now, she lies on her death bed, and will die without being fully recognized for her heroic services.

Al Gore is going to be alive and well for years to come, he could have gotten the next Nobel Peace Prize.

This is why I'm mad about it. Al Gore won over a woman like THAT!

Yup, you're right on that. We are in a cold period now. Actually I also heard that there is a cycle of extinction, and that after that cycle 70% of life will be extinct by the end of it. Were in our 7th cycle... Well this is what I heard but correct me if I'm wrong.

As much as I've always liked Al Gore, don't get me wrong, I have to agree with you, here.. Mr. Gore has all the time in the world to be recognized for his work on Global Warming, while this woman, a TRUE hero, is overlooked... It doesn't seem right, and I just wonder how in the name of God Al Gore, and the people who choose the winner have been sleeping at night.. *shakes her head*
