ac expected

after you beat ff7, did any of you expect ac to come out, or was it a bonus? I saw ac before I beat ff7 so I can't really say, but did you expect it, or was it a pleasant suprise?

No, I didn't expect it, not at all. After playing the game, I just thought the whole planet got destroyed.

Personally I had always thought AC was released as an appeasement to the fans, based on the huge popularity of the game. It seems that way especially because the characters they focused on more in AC were the most popular characters, but in the game all the PCs (Barret, Cid, Nanaki, etc.) were given a more evenly distributed amount of attention.
