was just wondering why does it seems like almost every monster can attack twice in one turn even if they have a greatsword, we can't hold 2 greatsword but monster can.

it just make it hard trying to do things by yourself when you're facing 3-4 monster at a time, each one can attack twice during their turn causing anywhere from 0-150 pts of damage a hit, or more for stronger enemies. so basically when its my turn again, im like half dead already.

I know, but we grow used to facing up to that kind of strength and ability, a spell like Regen is good for keeping you alive through monsters like that (the Sephiroth boss being an example, except you can't learn the spell at that point, and any non-Mage couldn't dream of being able to learn it...).

But yeah, its kinda cheap, dual wielding two Greatswords when a player can't, with that big Damage Modifier that weapon class has...but I just dash out of the way of all their attacks, EVA is a great stat, Greatswords aren't the most easy to hit with weapon, going evasive is a good way to go for those Dual Greatsword wielders (the spell Reflex can increase EVA by up to +125).

And no, if you want my opinion on if I think it is fair or not, no it isn't. But I'm not gonna get into it, I learn to work around, it has served me well enough. ;P

You could do what I do bully them back. If you will see I have my fair share of loses, but if you also see I advance even though I have them.
I also got to where I making everything heal after my turn.

Hey, you're level is getting up there pretty good. Me though, I am a Mage, takes a bit of setting up for me to be able to punish them back with my weapons...it takes Haste and Berserkra. >.>

Mind you, my weapons are very good, it is two Mystic Blades that I dual wield that have three enchantments, 205 Strength each, and +40 MAG and +25 STR each.

But the thing is, I've got 10 DEX, I need the Berserkra spell just to have a chance of hitting (though I have had a battle or two where I have every other hit from my attacks, against a monster with 120 EVA while I only had 10 DEX. That is luck. :P).

well i know if my speed is twice as much as my opponent i get 2 attacks but thats kind of hard to do now. but if my speed is 1 and half times more than my opponent, do i get like an extra turn every other turns?

I don't believe so, only for double SPD, which yeah, later on in the RPG that gets pretty tough, I face some monsters with nearly 300 SPD, so it really is impossible. -__-

lol, the RPG can be cruel. But you'll get over it eventually. But it DOES get anoying when we can't duelwield Med. Swords. -__- In the next RPG, they should make abilities and one of the abilities should be a permanent ability that lets you duel wield anything.

1. Lack of speed allows monsters to get an extra turn if their speed is almost twice yours. For example, if the monster has 50 speed, and you have 23 to 28, the monster can get an extra attack turn.
2. Some monsters are equipped with dual weapons since monsters can dual wield any weapon of any class without restrictions, ergo they always seem to be attacking twice with their....let's say....LONGSWORD!

Just a minor correction, for a player/monster to double turn something/someone, it's SPD must be at least twice as high.

So a monster with 50 SPD doesn't double turn a player with 26 SPD, but it does double turn players with 24 SPD.

Actually, it is a matter of chances. A fighter can double turn the other if their spells around 50% greater than the target's speed. In one on one battles, if player A has twice the speed of player B, player A gets two straight turns.

I also said it "can" not it "will", so there's not much of a correction to be made. Also, in large battles, things get worst. So if you have like a speed below 50% of most monsters in a battle, chances are you won't get a turn before biting the dust.
