ok so heres the whole low down, im am doing 2 playthroughs of this game.

full playthrough - doing everything that can be done (currently doing this)
and

no level playthrough - i got the idea of youtube and im going to give it a shot soon.

any way enough of that, on my 100% playthrough i am currently doing the card quest and i am finding it rather easy but the random rule is KILLING me literally! i know you can abolish the rules but the methods i've seen take like HOURS! im already on 60 hours gameplay, what i was wondering was is there a quick and easy way to abolish rules. instead of playing a person and quitting over and over again or resetting if something doesn't go right!
 
I think you can if you bribe the Card Queen. Or something like that. I'm not sure. You just get refine the cards that you have that aren't very good. That's what I did.
 
I've not found another way. Random has been fairly easy for me to get rid of. I'm still stuck in space trying to abolish the right rule and win the Laguna card from Ellone.

Random is alright, it's Plus and Same I hate, because you're just not prepared for it, and the CPU knows how to use it against you.

I've always abolished and favoured towards abolishing Random if there's a choice. I've also saved before EVERY card battle, just so that if I mess something up, I can try again. It takes a lot of patience, but can be done!
 
I made a thread about how to get rid of the random rule before. There is a guy in Zells home town near the docks that will erase current rules for you. I think there is a trick to it, like you have to play a game in the area too for it to stick. Anyways another way is to go to Dollet and in the first area there should be a girl near a building. ask to play and if she don't rid a rule, cancel the game. You will hear the music but you can select to cancel. If she does get rid of a rule and its not the one your looking for, soft reset and try again. I suggest saving right before you enter the town.

PS dollet is also the home of the queen of cards and her family.
