I apologize if this is in the wrong place which I'm pretty sure it is, there's no time for that know though. So big question guys, Im battling at the Pharos at Ridorana and there are four floors this lift takes you too. The first 3 floors you're just collecting black orbs and putting them in the pedestals. But now I've gotten to the fourth floor called "unknown". So yes my question is why the F wont this dumb lift take me to that floor and what do I have to do to make there it, plz can someone tell me?

You have to accept the Seer hunt first. Then you can go down there.
 
Um I did accept the hunt, Montblanc is the petitioner right? WTF
I'm guessing no ones as powerful as me so they've never been here yet...

Try going to gamefaqs or FFXII Sector. They have mark hunting guides there that explain how to find the Seer.
 
Have you killed the phoenix yet?

I believe that activating the lifts alone does not grant you access to the Unknown. You have to kill the Phoenix in the first of the three floors. My main party was at level 68 when I first started this hunt, and they finished at level 82 when I finally found the Seer. I had the Embroidered Tippet equipped the whole time.
 
Ok, but what is the "Phoenix"? Some monster in the Pharos that I've missed? Is is hard or rare to find? Alright I'll try finding it, you say it's on the first of the three floors?

It's on the first floor of the subterra. Find it in the big room north I think. Just use telekinesis on it. It is really easy, along with nearly everything else.
 
Make sure you've activated the 4 Pedestals of Night on all 3 levels of Subterra, and dispatched the Phoenix boss, then see if you're granted access to Hell's Challenge.
