I was thinking of getting Final Fantasy 7 for my psp and was just wondering how muck space i need on my Memory stick?

I think you'll need around 1.3GB of space on your memory stick, I'm almost sure of it actually. However, I'd just make 1.5GB of space just to be on the safe side. :monster:

I was just wondering has anyone got FF7 on their PSP and how does it compare to the original? Is everything the exact same as before?

It is 1.28 GB in size if (1.3) like Cid said, and Kuponutter, it is the original game, obviously your screen is smaller, but if that's not a problem then yeah...
it's the same game

anyone have problems with the file crashing? i don't want to play for 50 hours just to lose my progress.

nah it wont crash its pretty reliable, my version played fine until disc 3 and now it lags a bit but thats because my psp is ancient lol. it plays fine though, couldnt be better.

I don't think it will unless it's something SE haven't recognised, there were problems with getting FFVIII onto the PSN store and it working properly (something like that) so I'd imagine FFVII was checked as well. :)

I would watch out for your vision, though. I was playing on a friend's PSP and my eyes hurt after an hour. The smaller screen equals more light intensity which can be damaging after a while (n)

No need to worry about file crashing at all. Depending on your memory stick you can it's at least a couple times better than psx and if you still worries about it you can always copy it to your computer once in a while.

With the lastest firmware the game should run perfect. But just to be on the safe side, always make backups of your save's (to computer) when possible as I have heard a couple of people say that there game save's deletes itself without warning. This may be down to your memory stick if this problem happens.

Just in case anyone needs the info, to be exact, I'm running FFVII psp/ps3 and it is 1349 mb for the entire game, which is roughly 1.31738, or 1.32. My Saved Data utility tells me the save file is 448kb, but I'm unsure whether the file grows as you save more, or if you save multiple slots. With kb, though, that file size is so small that it doesn't matter much. I recommend at least a 2gb memory stick.

I'm running the game on the psp3000 (frost white from the Assassin's Creed bundle) and sometimes the music will lag a little bit, but other than that the game itself seems to run extremely smoothly. The memory card utility is very easy to use. There's also a slight pause when loading the continue on save files, but if memory serves that was with the original FFVII discs. I have not noticed any freezing whatsoever. Overall, the tech specs are pretty much flawless in the game. Changing discs is not a problem either, the utility is so easy even a monkey could do it.

Its about 1.28GB for psp and costs $9.99.... One of the best deals out there!:) Also on the pspgo it works perfectly, no problems at all. It is the EXACT same a the ps1 version too. Nothing has changed since I played it forever ago:P
