[18/07] Square Enix’s First Limited Edition 3DS Is For Heroes Of Ruin

Square Enix has a habit of releasing limited edition handhelds. The publisher behind Final Fantasy made seven DS versions in Japan for games like The World Ends With You and SaGa 2. So, we’re not to surprised to see Square Enix make a limited edition Nintendo 3DS.

It’s for their upcoming dungeon crawler Heroes of Ruin and it won’t be sold in stores. You can enter to win the Heroes of Ruin handheld by entering this contest run by Square Enix.

Heroes of Ruin is slated for release early next year.

Seeing as the limited edition DS that SE did were released in Japan, I wonder if this will be Japan exclusive too? Especially considering that the 3DS has region locking, unlike the original DS. Otherwise, I'd love to get one of these, I still haven't got hold of a 3DS and even though I know next to nothing about Heroes of Ruin, the design looks cool. Pity it's contest only.
