[16/03] Final Fantasy Type-0 Tidbits On Ace, Queen, And Oriens

Jump has a little feature on Final Fantasy Type-0, which is the next project from The 3rd Birthday director Hajime Tabata.

This update discusses Ace and Queen, two of the game’s many characters. By using the analog stick and pressing buttons, you can make Ace attack with different kinds of cards. Queen, the girl with glasses in the picture, attacks with combos and unspecified special techniques.

Four great nations in Oriens, each with a crystal, are at war in Final Fantasy Type-0. All of them are named after the four major Chinese constellations.

- Byakko the steel arm

- Genbu the solid shield

- Seiryu the incorruptible eye

- Suzaku the blazing wing

The group of characters you control are from class zero in Suzaku’s magic school. The whole world is waiting for salvation from Agito, but what will happen to the world when Agito appears?

When first announced Final Fantasy Type-0 was Final Fantasy Agito XIII. Square Enix plans to release the two disc PSP game in Japan this summer.

wasnt suzaku a character in fushigi yugi "the mysterious play" im sure he wass like a god whos symbol was a phoenix... unrelated but it sounds like a cool game id like to play it...

Awesome how they gave the nations chinese names.....I like the concept of the whole game..still bummed out its handheld only......2 disc lol sounds like some awesome massive game.

Naming countries after the Four Symbols of the Chinese constellations explains the white tigers and phoenixes I've seen a lot of in the trailer then.

-Suzaku the blazing wing = vermillion bird/phoenix

This is without a doubt interesting. Also seeing as it will be the 2nd game that requires 2 UMD'S I really look forward to this. Information has not been much but it is interesting. Ace and Queen are two of the main characters but I want to see how all the mains get developed during the game.

Oh yeah, this thread is useless without pictures:

Nothing too spectacular and nor does it reveal anything new, but you get a good look at two of your playable characters Ace and Queen. Rem and Machina can also be seen on the right with their academy on the bottom right hand side.

This makes me wonder.....ACE & QUEEN and ACE holding cards...Inever noticed before cards are reffered in this way..so questions from my part..

How important will cards be besides the 2 char names?
Will cards be involved with the battlesystems??
