Summer is finally coming to an end! Yours truly is bidding goodbye to the insufferable heat and humidity and cheering on the cool and crisp autumn days ahead. Now only if my allergies didn’t have my face changing colors faster than the leaves…
To appease the interior decorator within every Final Fantasy XI fan, the Square Enix community team is kicking off a new contest to decorate your Mog House with a special “beat the heat” summer theme. The staff enthuse that you choose from game’s repertoire of collectible furnishings to something that best expresses this — preferably an aquarium or two, or insect cages (there are bugs in the summertime don’cha know?).
Of course no contest is without prizes (pictured above). One grand prize winner will win a Opas Shelf and one of the following based on their nation: Jewelry Case (San d’Oria), Keepsake Case (Bastok), and Gem Case (Windurst). Three runners-up from each nation will also receive their respective case. Additional prizes will be awarded for participation.
Once you’re satisfied with your screenshots you can submit them, but hold off on making changes until the winners are announced. The deadline for submission is September 24, 2012 at 6:00am PDT.
