100% Ending

I got 100% but it's not worth the time it takes. Just get 80% (if i remember rightly) to unlock the secret ending at luca sphere theatre. Oh, and just a note for katastrofik and supernova, it is possible to get finale, you have to kill every enemy in oversoul state (all that can go into oversoul that is) without ever escaping from a battle.
 
Hmm, do you have a guide? Lol that's like the most important thing there because it's almost kinda impossible to get 100% without a guide. I got 99.9% on mine, and I followed the guide. >.< Didn't know what's up with that. I used BradyGames, and I heard people say that there's something wrong with that particular guide. But I don't know, I don't really care anymore lol.
 
I got 100% in 2 or 3 play-through's I had to use a guide to get it (used the piggyback one) I could be wrong (been awhile since I played it) but don't you need to play it at least twice to get 100% because you need to chose between New Yevon and the Youth League :confused:

I HAD 100%, but with one lil stupid mistake, my WHOLE memorycard was deleted, so bye bye files :|
Now I'm stuck the whole time at 98% XD
 
I gave up with this game. XD But I did watch all the endings on Youtube. I thought the 100% ending was a bit too cheesy.
 
It's pointless (yes I have it). I get it, and I watch the bonus ending which is supposed to kick so much ass. Well, really, I could've just hopped onto YouTube and watched it there. But no, I had to waste my precious time actually getting it fairly.. Ugh. I miss my Gameshark.
 
Youtube is deffinately an easier option but I'd still beat the game 100% if I could just for the sake of it ^_^
 
hey I'm sorry to bring up an old thread but it is a but dull to make a new one just for my Q

I have 99% I know it has something to do zith the Chocobo's
but wat ?

catch one before the end of chapter 3
catch one before the end of chapter 3 and make the chocobo level to 5
just catch a chocobo and level it to 5 before the end of chapter 5
or is it some thing els I have the guid but can'tfind it
 
According to the Completion Guide section of the Piggyback guide that I'm using, here is what you need to do involving Chocobos:

- Capture Chocobo before end of CH3 (You need way more than that to move on to the second task)
- Capture Amazing Chocobo once you've unlocked access to the Cave Ruins

The first task is easy but in order to gain access to that secret area these conditions must be fulfilled:

1) Dispatched all 5 lvls of Chocobo on successful treasure hunts, the minimum of 3 times for each lvl.

2) Raised Choco-Runners to lvl 5

Inside the Cave Ruins, you'll need to eliminate a boss in there so that five passages are opened in that area for you to reach your Amazing Chocobo.

Btw, I'm still on my first playthrough currently above 50% completion. But I hope all this makes sense to you.

Your guide should have a section explaining the optimal methods for raising and feeding chocobos including suitable places in Spira for where it should return with n amount of items depending on its nature or adaptability to its surroundings.

All this for an extra 0.4%. :D

Just make sure you've caught ONE Chocobo before Chapter 3 ends. Then you can start going after the Amazing Chocobo in Chapter 5. Or is it too late?

When you mean 99%, is it dead on 99.0% or are there decimal values after it (my PAL version only shows integers)? Since only completing the Publicity sidequest and capturing the Amazing Chocobo earns you your 0.4%, if you've just got 99.0% then you won't be able to achieve more than 99.4%. Hopefully if the NTSC version of the game displays decimal values, then you should see it as 99.6% or more.

Try siding with New Yevon if you gave the sphere to Youth League or vice versa. I heard there's a total of 103% in this game, siding with Youth League means 100% is possible in one playthrough which is what I'm trying to do now.
