[05/03] Final Fantasy XIII-2 Has Two Guest Monsters From Final Fantasy VI

The source that told us Gilgamesh would be in Final Fantasy XIII-2 as a coliseum cameo is back with more news about upcoming downloadable content. Square Enix plans on adding two guest monsters from Final Fantasy VI.

Typhon (aka Chupon in the Super Nintendo version) will appear in Final Fantasy XIII-2′s coliseum if you purchase DLC to add him into the game. In Final Fantasy VI, players could fight Typhon in the Dragon’s Neck Coliseum to win an elixir. The real challenge was dodging snort, which blows an a character out of the encounter. Typhon also appeared in Final Fantasy VII as a summon which hit enemies with four elemental attributes.

The other monster has not been revealed yet.

Hmm it would make sense for the other monster to be Ultros; because he and Chupon worked together to try and take down the Returners at one stage before the Floating Continent tragedy.

Typhon ? No, he'll always be Chupon to me. Like how Aerith will always be Aeris to me.

Alright, that's pretty cool. I always wanted to see Typhon or Ulty in better graphics, probably two of the most interesting monsters in the game (besides Doom Gaze, of course).
