Beat him in shade impulse and pay 1000 in the PP catalog. It's not that hard to defeat him. There are no cheats I'm aware of though.

Kuja is really hard to land a hit on against a decent opponent. CoD has heaps more varient and accuracy - aerial combo 2 - awesome! I'd pick more of power than personality. Exdeath is quite easy to avoid. Since you like golbez, use him.

Can't you have different characters in different tiers like pokemon does? For example, good characters are placed in the "overused tier" and lesser ones in the "underused tier".
