Well, I played FFVIII a bit a looong time ago, but I never got past the beginning. My first real FF was FFX. :)

Hmm... maybe Basch. Or Auron.

I was always partial to Ixion... not for any attacks or anything, I just liked his "presence". Yeah, yeah, I'm weird. :P

I guess it's all personal preference. I can understand why some people may not like it, but it's one of my favorite FFs. I love the battle system (go ahead, call me weird), I like the characters, and the storyline isn't THAT bad, IMO. But ohhh well, you can't please everyone I guess. I DO wish...

I did, too. I was having a hard time just fighting him, so I went in there, did a massive Quickening chain that took him out in one shot, and was happy. :cool:

Yep. All of my characters have a gambit for Protect, and my party leader has Bravery cast on them. I throw in Shell and such when I get to boss fights.

I think I've gotten up to 14 or 15. Still trying to get to Black Hole... I've gotten all the others so far... grr. :dry:

Yep, katanas benefit from magick and strength. I have Masamune (best katana in the game) equipped on Fran with Genji Gloves and she lands an average of 3 hits each turn, each hit between 2500-3000 (although that's with Bravery cast on her). This is at level 62. It's pretty darn sweet. :cool: I...

Hello all... :) New to the boards, obviously. Favorite FF games would have to be VII, IV (on GBA...just got into it a few months ago), X, and XII. I also enjoy a couple other games like Dragon Quest VIII, Baldur's Gate, Kingdom Hearts... yeah, I'm an RPG-a-holic pretty much. Not too much money...

Definitely. I fought Chaos at about level 60, and it was reeeeeeeeally easy after I beat his chaosjet buddies. If you've got good weapons, armor, and gambits I'd definitely say you could beat Chaos at lvl. 50...

I've only summoned one esper during my entire time of playing so far, which was Belias, right after I got him. Anyway, my favorite would be Adrammalech... just because he looks fierce.:D

Yep, I use quite a few... Libra, Steal (obviously), Souleater, 1000 Needles (although not so much anymore), Charge... and I just added Telekinesis to my arsenal, finally!

Yeah, I found that annoying... I think, too, there was a gun ammo that was earth-based, but I found guns to be extremely pointless. Ohhh well. :(
