I actually liked Lisey's Story. I definitely understand where you're coming from - it felt like I jumped into a world full of inside jokes and an inner language between two people, but the story really gripped me.
It was also my first King book, so I'm sure once I read others, I'll think back...
I just finished Lisey's Story (Stephen King) and now I'm reading Wicked (Gregory Maguire). I love reading. Plus, it helps that I work at a book store. :P
Gerard Butler and Zach Quinto. Yummy. They're just full of so much badassery, I love it. I've loved Gerry for like 4 years now, ever since I saw Phantom of the Opera. lulz, he's mine.
I enjoy X-2 a bit, but it completely pales in comparison to X. The storyline, music, characters, etc are all a million times better in FFX. X-2 ruined Yuna so much. D:
Eh. I would only want a remake if they kept it the same story and script wise, and ONLY revamped the graphics. Perhaps the music, too; making it more "orchestrated" (for lack of a better word?) and less "video game synth" sounding. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the music, but it would be odd to...
Final Fantasy IV - In Progress
Final Fantasy VII - Complete
Final Fantasy VIII - In Progress
Final Fantasy IX - In Progress (Playing Now)
Final Fantasy X - Complete
Final Fantasy X-2 - In Progress
Final Fantasy XII - Complete
I gotta go with IX. The wedding scenes had me laughing out loud, AND of course, the "male bonding" between Zidane and Vivi was awesome.
Tellah in IV was freaking hilarious, too.
FFIX (first time playing). I LOVE, LOVE it. I'm on Disc 2, about to enter the Iifa Tree. I love this gameee.
I think, when I'm done, I'll either play IV or Tactics... Although I've been wanting to replay X or XII, too.
Chrono Trigger is definitely one of my favorite games ever. I just love it, I love all the characters, the story, everything.
I've never played Cross, though, apparently it's good?
Oh, I love it. Yes, Yuna's blubbering is terrible (honestly, she sounds more like she's giggling than crying), and Tidus' voice isn't THAT bad. It's only bad when he starts screeching (which he does not in this scene). I also chuckle a bit when they fall into the water; it just seems a bit...
Well, I love Shiva, as she is one of my favorite summons of all time. But, Anima was freaking awesome. So creepy. I was always a little frightened inside every time I summoned her, and especially when I used the overdrive. :P
360, if I luck out and get a 360 for Christmas. Otherwise, there's no chance I can afford either a PS3 or 360 anytime soon. I'll just freeload from my bro-in-law who DOES own a PS3. :wacky:
Well, considering I own neither a PS3 OR 360, I guess I'm neutral. I was a bit miffed when I heard from an ex-Gamestop employee that it was going to be 360 exclusive (which ended up being false, anyway) since if it were PS3, I could at least play it at my brother-in-law's house.
Now, though, I...
Whaaat? Ok, I guess I'm in the minority here because I love just about everything about this game. I'm on my second playthrough now, and I'm having just as much fun as the first time. There were a few gambit glitches that were really annoying, but whatever. I got over it.
You could definitely get the Zodiac Spear if you got Knots of Rust. It was specific treasure chests that you couldn't open if you wanted it. I picked up plenty Knots of Rusts and I still got the spear.
Anyway, I really liked the battle system. I liked it alot better than the regular turn-based...
