ok, when you select blitz, dont press X again when the hand is over sabin, instead push left,right,left and then X and he should perform the blitz.. of you can have the fun i did and i did a different blitz instead of that one^^

im going through the game a second time... the first time i played i let shadow die and now i regret it greatly. i didnt know that you could wait for him on the floating continent!

i would love to see a sword in the stone world!! loved the movie and they need to add on the olympus!

i loved everything about the game except the party members you get in each world, they were a pain in the ass during the optional boss fights. and i hated riku, ansem, and sephiroth!!!

Ultros is one of those bosses who you just love to fight and kick his sorry ass over and over again just because you can lol! In the opera house i loved fighting him because of the whole relm thing that happened(relms not to bad btw)

My ending party was Umaro, Mog, Edgar, Locke. i think i went through like a million freaking characters to finally beat Kefka because i was a retard and kind of rushed through the friggin game. Although i did kill the warring triad and 6 of the dragons without getting screwed over^^

I say this game is worth getting because of the deep and innovating story line, the job system is incredible, if you dont get this game you have to be dumb!

I would say its worth getting ya know, i think the story and everything is great about it, musics great too!

I love it because you can do so much in it! and like other answers, it started the legacy, so i say yes it is worth getting.

I happen to love FFVIII, it has an awsome story, the battle system rules and so do the weapons systems for that matter, and i love the limit break system. Also, the GF summoning system and the way you can learn abilities from them was a big plus for me! this is my fave final fantasy game ever!!!
