That's what I thought. Man, that's one of the two ways this game was faulty. The other was lucky limit breaks and summons. That's too bad! Well I think I was in the 50s or 60s the last couple of times I've played. Oh well.

How is it done technically? I know when the DMV lands on certain numbers you level up. I just recently started playing for the 3rd or 4th time and I'm in Banora with Tsung. I'm still on level 6 and I've completed quite a few missions.

So I know you have to punch in the right code while you're on the space ship to get that huge materia which you can later get Bahamut Zero from. My question...each time you play the game is the code different or is it set permanently? I've gotten it before but I couldn't this previous round.:gonk:

I've been there before. You just have to fly and fly and fly until you catch a glimpse of him, keep ramming him until he stops somewhere. Then I usually get out and revitalize my stats then jump into battle.

I couldn't have said it better myself. You could always consider that you got the batteries and that they just got used. I mean, that last ether could just come in handy one day right? :P

Never heard of that but I only play it on the PS console or the PSN version now. But my whole experience is to train for the weapons and Sephiroth anyway so...IDK what else you'd expect.

You actually only need either 32000 BP or 34000BP I forget. I did it in the 40s levels somewhere but I had ribbon equipped to Cloud Counter attack Materia, time, Cure with at least Regen, Wall, and that was it. Oh, I was also stocked up on Megalixirs, Ethers, Turbo Ethers, and X potions just...

I heard there was a way you could counter with 4x or 2x cut depending on the materia level. I think it's counter command chained to 2x/4x cut?

Level up characters and Cure magic combined with all materia and maybe even have some HP plus materia equipped if anything. Also hopefully he has decent weapons for his characters. I recommend equipping Cloud with At least Heaven's Cloud or Ragnarok at that point.

througout my whole final battle I cast wall or shield first thing and use Regen followed by megalixirs, cure 3 etc... as needed. Have all ultimate weapons and limit breaks and chip away at Sephiroth. Also keeping pheonix and life 2 magic handy is a must. That's all I have for that one.

I can only say that if you haven't gotten any new limit breaks there is something seriously wrong there. I've tested it and the first limit break in a set must be used a certain low number of times to get the next one of the same level. After that the character must land the final blow a...

Good point. It is one of those games that once you start for the first time you're sort of required to finish it even if it's against your will :).

This is probably really biased seeing as how FFVII is my fav of the FF series but I'm a Cloud and Sephiroth pro for the most part. Those two are my main killers.
