Sure you are missing out. How much you are missing out...well...I did not find IIs story as compelling as I. Perhaps I would have had I played CoM. The worlds are great, if a bit redundant, and the gameplay is exciting, and there is plenty to do. But, as happens sometimes, in my opinion the...
No, Bartz is not well developed -- he is not supposed to be. As said before, he is a proxy for the player. Square had just finished an EPIC story in IV, that was relatively light on the gameplay aspect: You gained abilities/spells as you leveled up, and that was that. It was very linear. I...
Yes, ExDeath was a mighty fine nihilist, though I doubt any self-respecting Nihilist would every laugh in such a manner (Fwa ha ha). However, he was not the first in this regard: In fact the whole "void" thing was pretty much a concept recycled from FFIIIj. Many of the elements carry over to...
While I think that either works just fine, there is a certain genuineness to "thank you." People rarely say things perfectly. I am sure that Yuna meant, with all her heart, "I love you." However, in the heat of the moment, her love overwhelmed her, and she knew not what to say. "Thank you"...
My visceral reaction is to agree with you. However, Square-Enix has done well recently in incorporating desperate characters into a cohesive and compelling story, for example on the Kingdom Hearts series and in Dissidia. I thing that something similar would work for the RTS game: Have this be...
I sort of disagree with the comments on this thread thus far. I DID find AVALANCHE's ecoterrorism a bit alarming. I think this is part of what makes VII great. Sephiroth is considered one of, if not the best villain of the series because, in my opinion, he is only a stones throw away from...
As has been stated, GFs are pretty much fundamental to the battle design of this FF. They are useful both as summon magic and for the junction abilities that they provide. You will rely on them heavily until you first start being able to manipulate and spam limit breaks.
Is there a cost? Yes...
Well I actually liked the reaction commands, it changed things up a little bit (my particular favorite was the duel stance with the Samurai.) As for the battle "mini-games" I liked it, as it provided a change of pace from just spamming "x." I did however HATE the battle with Luxor, when he...
Well it depends on your motivation of the terms. Sure a normal person can be a hero if you (as many people do) define rushing into a burning building to save someone as heroism. That happens with some degree of frequency. Also, laying down your life to save others happens, with less...
My dad made me learn on a stick. It took me ages. We live out in the country, so there were plenty of gravel roads and steep hills to stall on. Eventually I picked it up, but it was not easy learning on an 86 dodge pickup whose clutch is failing. Still, retrospectively, it is the best car I...
I just picked up SimCity 4, and am still getting the hang of it, but love it all the same. I have long been a fan of Maxis games, and back in the day had SimCity (2000), SimTown, SimAnt, SimTower, etc. Good stuff.
Tycoon games are also fun. I just picked up Railroad Tycoon 3 and can't put it...
Nothing selfish about that...it was your idea, you are entitled to the position that you want. I will try to get my audition up by the end of the week, but it is a bit of a busy week for me, so it may be a bit longer. Thanks for putting this together,

As has been said, aside from the magic stat - magic def, drawing just requires patience. Luckily as you rarely have need to cast magic, and once you get the various mag item refines, it becomes considerably less frustrating.
As for boosting, I think I averaged high 130s to low 140s, so I am...
No. In order to make a remake work they would literally have to remake the entire game. I have not played the PSP or GBA versions, so maybe I will change my mind, but for now, the only sequel that I want would take the form of an apology for the colossal waste of my time that was FFII
D4D
Depends on your motivation.
For its story: No. I am of the opinion that it has no real story. See my review for more.
For its gameplay. Hell no. It is about as much fun as giving yourself a lobotomy...the latter would probably be more productive.
Because it is an FF game: Yes. Despite...
D4D's In Depth FFII (NES) Review
It was 1987, and the unthinkable had happened. Square had done it. Their last effort, hail mary had worked, and spawned a dynasty (although they could not know it at the time). Most within the company had probably not planned for this contingency -- so sure...
