Does anyone else think that there were too many mini-games in KH2? Especially ones that were incorperated into battles?

Personally, I have intense issues with mini-games. Battles? No problem. Mini-games? might as well just automatically put up the game-over screen.

Seriously..I think there were maybe...two bosses that I actually had problems with and died in that were normal battles...however I died repeatedly when you had to bring Queen Minnie (how the hell do you spell that? I should know..) through that room of heartless. I mean, like, 5 times. I was just sitting there like 'You know what? I've never liked her that much and she doesn't do anything...I say just let her go'..

I also had major issues with that battle where you had to destroy ten of those little water images in ten seconds...

Plus the only reason I died at the end of the game (talk about pushover last battles) was because when you switched to being Riku I thought you had to KILL the Xemnas copy instead of just being able to run over and like..touch Sora..

Seriously, I think the mini-games were way overrated....and should be cut back on...I am good at attacking things, I can not avoid things, I can not outrun things and I deffinately cannot protect things...and I think this is something that needs to be accepted...

anybody else think they went a little overboard with the mini-games?

I don't mind them and it's probably because they're disguised so well. I've never considered the events with Minnie and Riku, as you have mentioned, as mini-games but, in retrospect, they are. That said, I've never had much of an issue with them and I think they're a good way of relieving the monotony of pressing the same button to get the same result every time (beating an enemy).

Hmm, I guess there is that side to it....for me I am just bad at those in general though, I felt so targeted :( I'm just one of those people who prefers mini-games to be optional...and to keep the mandatory ones to a minumum.

Well I actually liked the reaction commands, it changed things up a little bit (my particular favorite was the duel stance with the Samurai.) As for the battle "mini-games" I liked it, as it provided a change of pace from just spamming "x." I did however HATE the battle with Luxor, when he turned you into a die or playing card. As for mini-games, eh, they are ok. There were quite a few, and some got pretty old, i.e. the poster run, and Pooh's dark cave, or whatever it was. However, they did provide a bit of token difficulty in a game that was otherwise far too easy.

I'm sorry but I don't understand how there can be too many mini-games, if there was hardly any I bet someone would be moaning about that too.:wacky:
I mean, I know that they can be frustrating at times, especially the Tron one -_-, but yeah I think it was quite a nice feature overall, it added some more flavour to the game really.:monster:
