Well I moved the server...partially. Unfortunately I had an issue moving the database, so right now the site is on the new server but the DB is still being served from the old server. This sadly means the site performance will be slower than before! I'll attempt to move the DB again later...

The load issues from Monday should just be a temporary thing, the server screwed up while I was compressing a large file. If it continues let me know. This is definitely weird, no idea what's going on here.

The server runs its backup scripts at midnight eastern. That's most likely the culprit. Not much to be done I think since it would be unwise to disable those. If it's for more than a few minutes let me know.

Sorry didn't see this thread earlier. I doubt it's the RPG, although I can't say for sure. I have a few other sites on this server that might be causing that. If there's a real problem let me know. The server wouldn't "adjust" to high load and such, load is either high or it's not.

A download of 3.8 or 4 requires the same license fee. I don't think I'd be comfortable asking for donations.

I had the RAM upgraded a couple days ago. Things have been smooth since then, there was a hiccup earlier today due to more table fragmentation, which keeps happening every so often it seems. Things should be mostly smooth though. Can't figure out why this table fragmentation stuff is happening...

The big problems yesterday were caused by me asking support to look into the lag, and them messing with some table with caused fragmentation. This led to all sorts of problems, as trying to repair the table increased load which messed up a table...eventually mysql had to be shut down to repair...
