I just bought Mass Effect off Steam. I have absolutely no intention of playing it any time soon, since I'm playing through several other games at present, but it costs only £2.50 off Steam at the moment, so how could I resist? It comes pretty highly recommended though so I'll probably get round...
Erm, I suppose I would be more of a Nintendo fan, but I'm guessing I'm something of a minority in that :worried:
Concerning those two though, I grew up on Playstation, and I have more PS1 games than any other console, unless you merge different gameboy generations. After that I played almost...
Well I haven't actually revisited the game since I beat it, apart from playing the GBA remake once. It's a good game, but fails to stand out in its own right. The levelling system leads to awkward situations where you are entering battles simply to attack yourself, and there are actually points...
Quina is certainly the most useful character to 'cheat' bosses at least in the early portion of the game; first 2 discs or so. After that I tend to prefer using one of the other characters, though that might just be because I don't really like Quina as a character. In the later portions of the...
Got really sucked into Dragon Age: Origins again. I've restarted for the 4th time I think without having finished it, mainly due to the fact my computer kept breaking and by the time I got it back, I didn't feel like picking the game up from the middle of the story. So far it's been as awesome...
Just beat Portal 2. Pretty short game, seems to be taking most people on my friend list 6-8 hours to beat the single player portion. All the same, it is pretty awesome, the puzzles are what you'd expect from a portal game, and there are a nice new range of mechanics that should be interesting...
I like to use Zidane, Steiner, Amarant and Dagger. Steiner's Charge ability works well with Zidane and Amarant, who both can deal a lot of physical damage. Dagger is interchangable with Eiko, Eiko may even be a slightly better choice. I tend not to make too much use of summons, so status...
Probably Lindblum. I'm guess I'm just a city person. The whole air-cab concept though was really cool, I'd probably live there just for that. Treno is always one of my favourite places in the game, though I'm not sure I'd like to live there due to how polarised it seems to be with ultra rich and...
Whilst not a deadline as such, I have a series of rather nasty looking exams coming up at the beginning on Summer term a week from today. Because of this I'm going to be spending most of my time this week with my head stuck in a book or on the computer looking for articles, cramming as much...
Oh I agree, there is very little point in doing it for the weapon itself, seeing as nearly all the content in the game is beaten by the time you get it anyway. It mostly just exists as a sort of trophy reward for a speed run, rather than serving as a game-changing weapon in itself.
Just pre ordered my copy of Portal 2 as well off Steam. They also included a free version of Portal 1 as part of the purchase. Pretty much everyone I know already has this, so if anyone wants a free digital copy of Portal 1 for the PC, let me know.
Yeah I managed it not long ago. Getting under 12 hours mostly just comes to knowing your way around the game well. Skipping the cinematics is also important, which can be done by opening the lid if you're on a PS1. I don't know how to do it on PS2/PS3/PSP though.
If that's still not enough, you...
I used to yearn for a sequel to this game, simply because I wanted the story to go on further. However the more time that passes, I inceasingly feel a direct sequel wouldn't be fitting. Yes, FFVII was spoiled by Square Enix going crazy with sequels, prequels and spin offs, but disregarding that...
I use Fighter, Thief, Red Mage, Black Mage when I play through. I use a Red Mage over a White Mage simply because I feel there aren't enough points where the extra healing power was really needed (I play on the GBA version), and because I like having three charcters who can cast temper to power...
Playing Golden Sun: Dark Dawn at the moment, actually got this as a Christmas present but didn't get around to playing until the last week or so. So far, the game is pleasant in audio and visuals, but the story hasn't developed yet as much as I'd hoped. On top of that, the challenge so far seems...
I'm actually really guilty of being a backseat gamer. Perhaps it comes from my arrogance and need to sound like an authority on everything (the truth is I'm really terrible at most games I try, especially shooters).
In all seriousness though, I mainly act like that towards people who know me...
When I can't be bothered to do anything interesting I'd probably just do myself some pasta and a random sauce very quickly. If I feel that's too much effort, then cereal or microwave ready-meals are always nice to fall back on. More often than not though it seems like I was so lazy I forgot to...
Whilst he does feel a tad random, I think he's a far better choice for final boss than Kuja would have been. Necron provided the opporunity for Kuja to show his true colours, which provided a much more satisfying ending as a whole in my opinion. Also, as others mentioned previously, Necron is...
Thanks all, forum has been good so far!
Also,
Shouldn't be too much of a problem, that seems to be how Britain acts in relationship to the USA anyway! (forgot to mention I'm a politics student!)
The FFIX Ultimania has the date of 15 January 1799 for the Prima Vista arriving in Alexandria at the beginning of the game, and 9th March for Zidane parting ways. Garnet says that the performance at the end is the first time she is seeing all the other characters again since then, so this would...
