All I did for the majority of the bosses was Aura and Renzokuken. I junctioned everything good to him and I won almost everytime. You could use Zell as well, but that takes effort... I equipped the Revolver Gunblade for this fight and used Renzokuken to defeat Adel.

Background sizes depended on the area - if the area contained loads of NPC's, Shops etc, then it would extend the page. If it were monster areas then you'd need a smaller picture.
