I crafted this broad sword and i tried to enchant it, but it says tat the weapon doesnt have enough enchantment points, so i cant enchant it... wat is the problem here?

I've been playing for about an hour and then all of a sudden when I click "World Map", it shows nothing. I tried to make the the zoom factor higher and lower, but nothing worked.. What is the problem?
