I hope so. I dont like it when stories are left open. I want some type of closure with the story of FFXIII.
FFX-HD probably wont come out anytime soon. Most HD remakes have been on fairly short games. Also, I doubt SE thinks it will make them tons of money. Sure I'd buy it, but who all else will.
Ill probably pick this up though I hate the whole stupid "lets make it easier for people" addition.
I'm actually wanting a sequel to Dirge more than anything. I hate that they just left the story open with no conclusion whatsoever.
I dont know what to think about this. Part of me is like...um well why dont you learn to communicate better. But then again, if they outsource more things like menu's and that sort of stuff, it can let the team work more on the more important parts of the games, which could be a a very good thing.
Now I completely agree with you on this, mostly the last line. That's my biggest concern with the whole FFXIII stuff. It really does have a richly thought out background, but the way it was presented was not done very well, which more than likely has to do with Toriyama being a bad director. But...
FFXIII and FFXII-2 made them money I believe. And almost all of their PSP games have as well. Now FFXIV is a different story.
But I do completely agree with you that development costs are ridiculous and not sustainable for any company in the long run. That's why I'm ok with not having new...
Ah you mean like Capcom, EA, Konami, Tecmo Koei, Nintendo, Activision, etc etc.
EVERY game company milks a franchise that makes them money. If the games are good, then who the hell really cares. In regards to SE and Final Fantasy. Having 2-3 perceived bad or not great Final Fantasy games over...
Ok, seriously, are you even following what I've been saying? I certainly was referring to your post as well as another posters. But I didn't bash you or anyone else personally. I just pointed out something I disagreed with from what you said. If you think that is bashing or something similar...
Who bashed anyone? No one did, so I have no idea where you are getting that. A forum is for posting about said article and debating what others say on said forum, so what's wrong with posting about other people's statements? Nothing.
By saying nearly, it is implying that it barely had anything...
How did XIII-2 forget the mythos? It referenced the Gods etc and worked within the story.
XIII isnt the best FF but people exaggerate how bad they feel the game is and then praise the games in the series it is most like. I also dont buy this whole, if it comes out before Versus, Im boycotting...
I really dont see why people get so pissed over this. If they port the game and make extra money to put into a new game, then Im completely all for it and you should be too.
The problem with SE is they are thinking FF is going to take off like angry birds. Sadly, it wont. Not much will. It;s going to be little time waster games and not RPG's.
Dimensions - as in one dimensional due to horrible touch screen controls
I wouldnt mind if this was true though. Essentially they could probably change some of the terminology and make it a new game that isnt connected. It looks drastically different from the FFXIII series anyways. Even Type 0 kinda reminds me of FFXIII in some ways.
But I wouldnt mind them doing...
Yeah, E3 hasnt excited me as much as it used to in recent years. The Vita was awesome to see, but other than that, most games shown havent really excited me. Like you said, mostly more western game (which you get some cool ones, but not my favorite types).
E3 used to have massive secret reveals...
Tomb Raider and Sleeping Dogs look good, but not what I want SE to be releasing. And FF Dimensions does not excite me, nor do their other phone stuff. If you want to tout some type of handheld game at E3, how about bringing Type 0 over.
Yeah if Tim and Eric were on there, that would be god awful.
But Im glad it's back for the reason that it may expose more people to anime and get them into it. Thing is, there are so many avenue's now such as netflix, crunchyroll, funimation and viz streaming sites and youtube channels, hulu...
DLC can be fairly significant. Plus, something that is short, can still be insanely epic. I agree with you though about length speculation. From all the talk, I felt like it would be 2 hours long or something, but I bet it will be 30-45 mins tops.
How can a cinematic not be labeled epic just because it is DLC? That makes no sense. Either buy it or dont, if you dont like DLC. I dont like it much either, but Id rather see more of the story and pay for it then not.
