No, SE just likes to change our good old SS memories. In japanese they pronounce it as Aeris, they don't have a th sound.

I prefer Aeris, but sometimes use Aerith when I see other people do. Even in japanese it's pronounced with a S ending sound. I can't help but write Aerith at times though. Sephiroth may have been christian, he had the jewish tree of life belt buckle. :D

:megusta2: One of the craziest, funniest ones yet. Aerith and Sephiroth went from identical bangs to being reason as to being killed, to siblings, to lovers, and back to wincest! Then along to the gender of Aerith her/himself!

So looking into it, it looks as if first they were to be siblings, then it changed to Sephiroth was supposed to be her first love, then instead they changed it to Zack. Nice going Square! That is a mindscrew if I ever saw one. :monster:
