Great set of fighting games that is joint favourite with Street Fighter for me as the pinnacle of 2d fighters. I liked the intricacies of the systems, they're the sort of games that reward you for putting time and effort into your characters ala Virtua Fighter. Which means fireball spammers and...
System Shock 2 - Coolant Tubes
Deus Ex - Versalife
Planescape: Torment - Deionarra's Theme
Ys II - To Make the End of Battle
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver - Ozar Midrashim
It's strange that despite not having touched these games for at least a decade, the stage music and sfx plays ever so resoundingly in my head. Whereas, if you asked me about the recent hits like say God of War or Halo, I could hardly remember any track from them. Such is the melodic power of...
After giving some time and thought over the years, I think I have now come up with a concrete list of my favourites:
1. Chrono Trigger
One of the most consistent scores in terms of quality, and is just filled to the brim with charmingly evocative themes. My all-time favourite.
2. Shenmue...
Either Super Mario Land or Tetris on the original Game Boy bought in 1990, can't recall which one was included in the bundle. Ah...the good ol' monotonous beeps and blips.
SNK have a reputation for churning out masochistic fighting games with notoriously cheap CPU opponents. Notable examples are the Art of Fighting game series and Real Bout Fatal Fury Special where the A.I. were rigged as hell. Worst being the bosses, these guys are just flat out vicious to say...
While I agree that the 2nd game had a more refined combat system and far superior production values, a lot of the charm from the original was lost in translation.
Storywise, the first one was better and the characters definitely interest me more in that game to the point where I actually cared...
8.9/10
I've never had so much fun blowing up an enemy's base in a Command & Conquer game than this one. The sheer joy and pride that comes when you defeat your friends in multiplayer mode has never been so great. Undoubtedly, the best RTS game I've ever played so far.
Oh and…the lieutenants...
Star-collecting was pure joy and the unique multiple-mission style of gameplay looked fresh at the time. Each challenge set for acquiring the stars were really well thought out and felt rewarding upon completion especially the 100 coin ones. There were some levels that left a very deep...

One of the greatest anime I've ever watched as a kid. It revolves around a 16 yr old boy named Saotame Ranma and his hardships of living in a cursed body, changing into girl when getting in contact with cold water and back to his male self when doused with hot water. In addition to...

DQVIII is the only DQ game I've ever played and it's about time PAL gamers got their hands on it. The storyline on the whole was entertaining and the skill development system gives you freedom of choice to build your characters the way you want them, though their jobs shouldn't change. The...
