That Fujin question should be a thread if it isn't already!
I've been reading Micah Rodney and M.J. Gallagher's new FFVIII novel (Seed: The Beginning - which I bought at KupoCon) which puts forward two hypotheses. Thankfully I've been taking some notes so they are as follows:
1) Fujin just doesn't like to waste her time with words (as she only uses one or two words at a time).
2) Fujin has a brain injury thanks to whatever incident led her to lose an eye.
But the conclusion in this novel is that nobody knows for sure so it is up to us to decide which we believe.
