Your Earliest Memory

Was just wondering out of interest what peoples' earliest memory/memories are (especially to see how far back most can remember).

For me it's when I was about four and a half (summer of 1987) when my younger brother was born, have dim memories of hearing about the birth. And then a month or two later I remember moving into our new house (which I still live in).
 
I remember being like 3 and a half, sitting in my great grandmothers kitchen eating buns and drinking soft drinks with her. I admired her so much. It was really nice and I miss her greatly. :(
 
I don't really know which one of them is the earliest, so I'll tell them all.

My father was proud of me for some reason and he told me that I could chose any toy in the store xP

I was in kinder garden at the time and found a tiny coin(not worth anything anymore)
And I decided to buy some ice cream at the store, so I escaped from kinder garden and ran towards where I thought the store was..

There was a fire at our kinder garden, and a kid was locked in the basement , I remember telling a grown up about it. I think the kid was fine after that.

Me and my dog was wrestling.
 
Actually it's ironic this has been brought up. Until last Friday I thought it was when I was sometime under the age of three. I had a memory of me playing at our old house under a tree. We moved when I was three, so I must've been younger than that. I just kinda remembered the wind blowing the leaves around and sitting there. Nothing very special.

Anyhow, apparently I had remembered something from a previous point in my life but didn't realize it. I was telling my parents about a resturant we went to in Penn State. I described the red boothes we sat in, our waitress, the general feel of the place. It was all very unique because it had sort of an older feel to it. Anyhow, when we went there I was only about 2 years old. Apparently had just turned two...

I didn't even think we could have memories that young.

EDIT: Silariaz, were those all different memories... or were the two kindergarden ones connected?

Though most people can only remember back to being about 3-5 years old, some can remember back further apparently (and I'm sure I've read of people who can remember being babies even) - so it's not necessarily that odd to have memories from being two years old or before.
 
I can still remember when I was like 2, I think. We lived in this old house where it was kinda secluded and surrounded by woods (I remember coz' there were a lot of trees!) Anyway, I saw my mom and my aunt leave and wanted to go with them. Apparently, I was being baby-sat by my grandma at the time. I tried to escape by climbing up this big water jug that was blocking the doorway. I guess I was planning on jumping down (almost 3 feet high) but my grandma caught me. I started crying then.

Then one time, I was sitting on my grandfather's lap...well, it was actually one of his knee, because my other cousin who was a year older than me was sitting on his other knee. I was around 3, maybe. Anyway, I remember getting jealous because I wanted to be the only one sitting on his lap, or knee, whichever. =/

Hmm, then there's one where I was also three. I guess I was being mean to my little bro, who can barely walk at the time and my grandma (same from the first story) was telling me not to be mean to him anymore. She was in the middle, holding both of our hands while walking in the city, Manila. I remember feeling guilty about it...

There's more, but those three are really especial to me because...well, they were the furthest back that I can remember so far. I'd always think about it every now and then, just so that I don't completely forget about it. I guess I'm holding on to my memories? I really miss my childhood back then...
 
no wait! now that I think about it. I do remember being washed in the bath tub, I remember being so happy because I had this toy to play with, don't remember what it was though.

I think it was at the age of 2-3
 
My earliest memory was when I was 4 years old. My mom was taking me on a trip to see my grandparents who I think they lived in Tianjin and it was my first time on an airplane.
 
my eariest memory was when i was really young (around 1 or 2)the reason begin its the first day i felt real pain i got burned on my leg by some hot curlin irons everytime i look at the scar it reminds me
 
The first memory i can actually remember in detail is my first day of school when i was 5. I have a few fuzzy memories from before that though.
 
My earliest memory is probably when I was 6-7. I remember walking into our playroom and just standing and staring. I can't remember anything past that.
 
I remember my uncle luring me into a dark room with the promise of delicious delights. Once I got in, he slammed the door behind me and locked it.

We spent the rest of the evening...





...eating candy and watching Barney on the tube. One of my fondest memories.
 
well, yesterday i watched tv a little, then i think i ate or something...

i remember when my dad poured scalding hot water over me. i was 3. i was in the kitchen and then the next thing i knew i was in so much pain it was unbelievable!! i had to go to playschool the next day and went to the docs half way through
 
Getting a book thrown at me in kindergarden...a hardback science book...
 
oh earliest? i thought it was boringest!

Um... once my mom & my sisters were walking on the street and i was tired so i let my mom drag me.
Another one was eating ice cream in our house.
 
oh just remembered another one. being pushed down the stairs by my dad. i was ok though. i remember it becasue i ended up rolling out of the front door which was open and landing in the drive way. i was about 3 maby 3 and a half.
i also remember christmas that year becasue we spent it in scotland with my gran and i played in the snow.
 
I remember when I were 4 I used to sit under A HOT SUN OUTSIDE!! that maybe will kills me in any minute so I can wait for my mother till she comes from work! lool baby missing her mama :P
