This ones simple enough, just share your favorite show/concert, you've attended. I've been to a few in my day and i want to here what others have to say. once this thread gets going i will tell you about my favorite concert/show.

Considering I haven't been to many.

Went to see Iron Maiden in december, pretty fucking sweet, shame about them only playing the new album witha handful of classics, oh well hopefully next time I see them it'll be a bit more varied. Not saying the new album sucks, it's just not something you play ALL the way through.

I've only been to a few, smaller concerts. The one I really remembered had about three or four groups playing, with Audio Adrenaline as the main band. It was pretty great, everybody getting up and jumping to the music. :D

The two that stick out for me are when I saw Iron Maiden on their Dance Of Death tour in 2003, which was immense in pretty much every way, and when I saw Chimaira two years later. The Chimaira show pretty much cost me the last of my living expenses with two weeks of the semester still to go, but it was well worth it. The crowd was well up for it which was probably why I'd stick it slightly above the Maiden gig, the crowd were quite tame in my part for that one....

May 2, 2003 - Pearl Jam has been the best concert I have ever been to. It was my first and only time I have seen them, but they put on a spectacular show. The crowd went crazy when Even Flow came on, you couldn't even hear the music. They played three encores and played so long that they had to pay a fine to the venue. It was just the most memorable concert I have ever been to.

Myself like every one else who has posted in this thread have really not been to many concerts in my time , but the ones i have been luckey enough to attend were damn good ones. well my most memoriable show of all ime has to be when SLAYER came to town in june 04, damage plan was opened for them and they rocked, got to se vinne and dime bag live, and then slayer opened with desiple and it kept getting better from there. One of the best nights of my life.

The show that i attended that had the most energy, would have to be when Pearl Jam came in sept 05, they put on such an amazing show, i almost cream my pants thinking about lol jk. they played a 6 song encore, they even turned the ligts on , and they still played two songs after that. When they played Better man the crowed did all the singing so good , man i want them to come back ....

well those were my two favorite shows

That's how it was when they played Buffalo! Mike McCready had to pay a fine to HSBC arena because they played so long. It was freaking great.

Can't remember the name of the tour, but it was the Destruction/Vader tour from last summer; got to meet and talk with the members from both bands (as well as Speed Kill Hate and Overkill's Dave Linsk). Both Destruction and Vader were killer. Cryptopsy/Suffocation (missed Despised Icon and Aborted, don't care for the former, more upset about missing the latter) and Behemoth/Suffocation were also excellent; got to meet the guys from each band, and had a humorous chat with Lord Worm and Alex Auburn.

I haven't attended many but one that really stood out was "The Cat Empire". During the concert the energy level was just so high. Everyone was just dancing continuously to their high-tempo beats - it was just so much fun.

I just recently went to the Soundwave music festival in Brisbane Australia. First concert I have ever been to and it was fucking awesome, a line up of 22 bands some of them shit some of them awesome. Terror, Parkway Drive, Hatebreed and Deftones were all fucking awesome, going to Overcranked next month which features 42 bands and its going to be so much better than Soundwave, can't wait. ^_^

Its between RCHP and the Fun Lovin Criminals. RCHP was great because they were a band I wanted to see for years and they are amazing live! I had the perfect view of them also.

Fun Lovin Criminals was coolio because it was at Sheffield Uni, so I was right at the front with my ex. Some guys went crazy during Scooby Snacks and nearly knocked me over and Im only tiny. Not only did my ex yell at them, but Huey (lead singer) stopped playing and told them to calm down and watch other people ^^

i was reading through some other threads and the dropkick Murphy's came up and it made me remember the great show they put on in Halifax last summer. Clit 45 from L.A.(OOH...AAH)opened, they were ok, just your generic punk band. Then it was Come Back Kids turn to take the stage, i was not expecting a lot form them but the were really great, the lead singer kicked on of the bouncers in the head who was trying to pull him out of the crowd (hilarious). Then Dropkick hit the stage and the were awesome, bagpipes and all, now i not a huge drop kick fan but the show had lots of energy, and the crowd was insane. Good times had by all i think, oh yeah punk pits are crazy, was so sore the next day...

Halifax? As in Halifax in the UK?! If so, OMFG!!! I live next door to that place, if it was thats sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo not fair :(

The best concert I have ever been to was Rascal Flatts. I had been dying to go see them, and I wanted really good tickets so I coughed up $150 and I was pretty close, I was about 20 rows from the stage. I took about 50 pictures there I went kinda crazy, but they are my favorite band.

The most recent big one I went to was Bullet For My Valentine.
It was so massiveee, they were playing with Gallows and As I Lay Dying
It was amazing
Moshed yarrr

Did anyone else go to the one at Hammersmith Apollo sometime in January

The most recent conert I went to was Keane around two or three weeks ago at the M.E.N Arena in Manchester. They were in the middle of their "Under The Iron Sea" tour and I remember the singer, Tom, saying:

"And they say Sunday night is a quiet night?!"

I was somewhat scared since we were high up, but hey, when the lights were off, I relaxed and I swear Keane are really good when they sing live! I'm going to see them again when they do another tour in the UK.

I saw Matisyahu live last summer. I'm a huge fan of reggae and think he does a great job at bringing a unique sound to it, so to see him beatbox and perform live was pretty incredible. Interesting crowd too. Although the concert was a bit short...he performed for barely an hour long.

I was going to see Within Temptation with my boyfriend and his mates in April in my hometown of Manchester. But alias, its sold out and it was on a Wednesday too. Thats now an offical work night.

Oh well, can always try for Muse come June!

Let's see, I've seen a lot of great ones.

Seen plenty of big bands, but those bigger tours tend to suck in high priced arenas with crappy sound, and mid-sized venues aren't much better.

Most of the best shows I've seen have been smaller ones.

The Apocalypse Now tour with 5ive, Warhorse and Electric Wizard was absolutely crushing in all aspects of the term. Saw The Melvins with Big Business, Altamont, and The Men of Porn, and that was also completely crushing. The Men of Porn and Bottom was a stellar tour.

Bongzilla, Milligram and 5ive was like visiting a different universe.

I'd have to say one of the best was with The Mystic Crew of Clearlight, Spirit Caravan, Clutch, and Corrosion of Conformity.

I'd say the best I've ever seen was High On Fire and Acid King.
