Cloud, Aerith and Tifa are probably the most famous video game ships of all time.
The arguments over them have been raging for over a decade and will probably continue on for another decade.

But I don't really care.

So my question is, are there any FFVII ships you support or care about besides CloTi or Clerith?
Also which ones in particular?

I find Yuffentine quite nice and has anyone ever brought up this quote from Vincent upon meeting Yuffie in FFVII?

"I feel as though I have seen her somewhere before.."

A bit odd. I wonder if it's a translation mistake or what. I don't know how he'd have seen her before but maybe I'm forgetting something.

Where do you get these ships? I've never heard of them. And I have the strategy guide, I'd think it would say something about them.

....haha

I don't particularily give a stuff about any of the 'ships' either way

HAH. Awesome.

Yuffentine is a popular ship but I don't get it. Even if he didn't age, he's still be what.. 25, with a 16 year old? >.> Ergh... It's too bizarre.

Vinith is a not so popular ship but if you kinda give it some thought it would have a heartbroken past relationship type romance... both yearn for past lovers who were tragically torn away from them..

Zack/Cloud is always been a fave of mine. I got all warm and fuzzy seeing that infamous blue pick up ride down the dusty road in the clunky lego graphics (er, before Zack's brutally murdered >_>). And not to mention all the stuff we see in Crisis Core and the scenes in Advent Children Complete between the two of them. Fair enough that a fair amount of my rose-coloured perception is because I'm a dreaded fangirl (and you know Nomura was pandering to us - Zack and Cloud had waaaay too much bodily contact :wacky: ), but it's so hard not to appreciate the fact the two were good friends and Zack does everything to protect Cloud, evening dying to protect him, before cheering him on even in death.

And they're hawt together :mokken:

I used to be into Sephiroth/Cloud, but I can't really deal well with love/hate/possession/mind-fuck basis going on. Being obsessed with each other should be a solid pairing basis in the fandom world, but I couldn't deal with it anymore. If you like 'em, fine, but I just look at fanart now, that's it xD

Something I'm starting to get into is Rude/Reno. Honest to god, it was the one scene in Advent Children with the bomb that did me in. Innuendo, innuendo, innuendo! xD

As for my Aerith/Tifa inclination...I dunno why I like them as much as I do. The two don't have as strong of a history as Zack/Cloud (nor fanbase), but I still giggle thinking about the two of them together. Aesthetically the two of them together would be so effin' hawt of course, lol.

But really, despite the short amount of time the two knew each other, I always felt that Aerith and Tifa grew to be very close friends. If Tifa's in your party when Aerith dies, she sits by her side and strokes her hair before running off in tears. Also, I haven't read a proper explanation of this, but when Tifa escapes from that gas chamber, a voice tells her to jump to safety, and I always assumed it was Aerith. I also got fuzzy in that movie scene of that water drop falling on Tifa's nose and she knew it was Aerith right away.

For more giggles, I like imagining scenarios of the two meeting each other before the FFVII game timeline (I mean really, Midgar isn't THAT big - they could've walked by each other a few times), or if Tifa had fallen through the church roof instead of Cloud xD

so what, ship refers to love/relationships between characters? I don't see it. I guess (if my understanding is correct) that I really like Tseng and Aerith. I just somehow appreciated that kinda... questioning of a duty that doesn't seem right. That he put off on his mission and settled to spy on Aerith rather than just turning her in. That and he was friends with Zack and deployed Turks to try to save him and to deliver the last letters Aerith had written

Only cannon pairings hold value.

But what's the fun of just sticking to plain ol' canon? Booooooring :ness:

Not mention, one could figure to pair two particular people who have no known romances in the game :awesome:

I used to like Sephy/Aerith fics and this was before the Compilation even came out.
Granted, I was like many at the time and taken in thinking he was just misunderstood. Even though Hojo is ultimately the most evil person in the series and you can blame him for Seph's fall, Sephiroth became way too pure evil later on.

Now I support T&A/TifaxAerith.
