I'm really bored, and I suddenly found myself putting my hand over my nose, and using my left nostril as a flute of some sort. I press my thumb against the side of my nose to close my nostril so the sound cuts off, and then I take my thumb off of it and hum a note. I keep my mouth shut throughout the whole thing. I am currently 'nostril humming' the Final Fantasy IV world map theme song. It suddenly got stuck in my head.
The scientific fact about this is: You cannot legitimately hum with your nose plugged. You hum out your nose. Plug your nose, and try to hum. Don't open your mouth at all.
