To cheat or not too cheat

I was just wondering do you use cheat codes or do you think it's wrong to cheat...

I'll hold my hands up and admit that I've used them just last night I started FFX again and I really couldn't be bothered to build my characters up (just wanted to play it for the story) so I took my Action Replay disc and put a load of cheats in so now I have infinite HP, MP, Items ect... ^_^

(Don't know if this is in right thread if not sorry >_< )
 
I used to use a gameshark for the heck of it, but that was a long long time ago.
It's much more fun to have a challenge. ^_^
 
i always play through games the first time around the normal way. after that, though, out comes the codebreaker! i find it fun to be able to destroy everything in your path.
 
If you had to use cheat codes for FFX you must suck pretty badly, that's probably the easiest FF bar VII and X-2.

Anyhoo, I've only used cheat codes on GTA for laughs mostly, no point ruining the game by making it any easier.
 
Sure, you will enjoy the game much better without cheating. But after u finished the game, I think there's no harm in cheating a little.

Don't know if u people here know a game called Baldur's Gate II. After I beated it for the 6 time, I cheated to created a godly party, just to kill every single being in the game.
 
Not on FF games, nope. No point in it at all. If you want to do it on a second playthrough, go for it. However, if you cheat on the initial playthrough, it just would seem to ruin the feel of the game and the story. I just personally won't do it.
 
I almost never use cheats. I don't see why anyone would use cheats on the first time. The whole point is the challenge!

I may use cheats on the second time if it provides something special. Flying, for instance. As opposed to infinite HP.
 
Well, I like games to be challanging so I rarely ever use cheats. The only time I do is if I'm just that frusterated or if I don't like the game that much and want to finish it.
 
I only cheated once...in FFVIII. I used a gameshark because I was kinda impatient leveling up. Now, I don't do it anymore because, 1: I don't have a gameshark anymore, and 2: I actually wanna be challenged. :)

No I've already finished FFX ages ago I was just messing around used the cheats I like completing the game first then using cheats (like most people here)

Although if I'm REALLY stuck on a game and its frustrating the hell out of me and a walkthrough can't help me then I will use cheats. I believe that you play games for a challenge but also to relax. If I'm really stuck on something and getting mad at at it then the way I see it is that I'm not relaxing so it's either fall out with the game and not play it for ages or use a cheat to get past it and continue playing ^_^
 
I would use the cheats after completeing the game. Usually 100%, but if i cannot be bothered playing through the whole game again i might use cheats.
 
Cheating... CHEATING!!!! I loathe cheating I can honestly say I don't cheat when it comes to games. It takes the fun out of it. Unless you've beaten the game or are play grand theift Auto would I ever accept cheating.
 
That's just blasphemy.

You'd never see me using cheats on a Final Fantasy game! Lol, there's just no need... the game is always, really easy... you only make it hard if you don't bother to lvl up, collect items, use your head...

Cheats? Bah, you don't even need them. D: But they are good for a nice laugh...
