Square Enix have released a new teaser site which can only be for Activision's highly anticipated game, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the teaser site shows a giant "2" which is can be seen on the gamecover of MW2 and if that's not enough to convince you, Activision's trademark is also credited at the bottom of the page.

Modern Warfare 2 Teaser Site?

Square is going to what? How many things are they going to take over? Jeez MW2. But it can be something else you never know. But wtf is this. Next thing they will takeover will be Halo. Man wtf is going on. Why do they want to publish it now?

Activision Blizzard is the world's largest videogame publisher in the world, but I don't think they have much going for them as far as Japanese distribution goes. If they want to expand into the Japanese market, they really couldn't wish for a better partner than Square Enix.

It sorta looks like Metal Gear Solid logo or maybe Splinter Cell to me. But it is CoD: MWF.

Oh well, SE will do the game great. I hope so, because Call of Duty rocks!
:P

Squeenix has published for other companies for years now. They published several of the MegaTen games in Europe if I'm not mistaken.

Well it makes sense for SE to publish Modern Warfare 2 in Japan. FPSs are not the most popular kinds of games in Japan (in contrast here), and for MW2 to have maximum impact, you can't go further than one of Japan's biggest household names that is Square Enix.

Some people will just dismiss this as being some monopoly plan for more money than they already have. SE does have a reputation as being a "cash cow" nowadays.
