Help Level 4 Limit breaks?

Im sure this has been discussed before, but i couldnt find anything. basically, im playing the PS1 version of ff7 and just have a few lvl 4 limit breaks and cant seem to teach them to anyone. Cloud is especially annoying because i have 2 limits of each level before that, but he still wont take omnislash even after ive won it..... whats the deal? anyone else had this problem
 
That's odd. If you have Both limit breaks at levels 1, 2 and 3, there is no reason why the items won't work O_O Are you sure you have all 6 limit breaks? And, this might sound silly, but are you giving the right item to the right person? For example, you can't use Great Gospel to make Cloud learn Omnislash. xD

Maybe it's just a fault in the game? I think there is a certain glitch that can occur with limit breaks, but that's one where you can't learn any others after their first one. I've never heard of this one before though, so I'm clueless O_O
 
I'll try to help, but this is all I know.

For most characters, they have to deal the final blow to 80 enemies (summons, poison, insta-death, and cheap tricks don't count), to reach a new limit level, for levels 1-3. For the second limit on levels 1-3, they have to use the first limit break eight times.

For the final limit break, you've gotta have all six previous ones. Then, you have to get the item, and use it on the right character.

If that doesn't work, your game may be glitched. I'd look into it. There's a whole guide on limit breaks I found at gamefaqs, you can find it here.

Are you sue you have all 6 because if not then you can't. Also is the item you won in battle square and not cosmo memory or anything like that your using?
