OK, I am a real amateur at this, but please could you comment? I can draw ok, and I like to photoshop pics, but i'm not THAT great at photoshopping. This is my first attempt, so please, I'd like to hear everyone's thoughts about it. Thank you for any comments, I truly appreciate it.

HMMMMMM

Niiiiiiiiice. Rydia is my 3rd most powerful character in FFIV DS. Good Job on the drawing. In my opinion, If it was 3D, it would look better than the actual thing. Very good Job! You got talent.

i like it, is it from the NES FF 2? the summer?

Haha..it's from FFIV. It's just FFIV whatever version, SNES or DS. I love the remake of this game. It was awesome.. Thanks for the thumbs up, I really wanted this pic to be commented upon!:)

Thanks so much!:P Rydia is always in my team because I love her character and she is one of the strongest anyways.

Some tips for coloring...Is add shadows and white for the highlights. Your shading is way too soft so it kind of looks non-existent. Ummm With the hair I wouldn't bother outlining the white part of it with black. It takes away from the shine. I think the colors you chose work well together.

As for the drawing itself, you need to practice hands a bit more and spend a little bit more time on the legs. Also the arms are too fat for the size of the hands. Hmmm..

But actually as whole, I think you did a really good job with it. Did you use a reference?

Thanks so much for the tips!:P Especially about the hair. I'm not too good with hands and shoes...when I was drawing Rydia, I thought that the arms were kinda fat too. Oh well. The more sharper version and not like this blurry one can be found here: http://www.finalfantasyforums.net/final-fantasy-iv/edge-s-crush-on-rydia-in-ff4-27103-page3.html

I did use the official Rydia pic as a reference, but I didn't totally copy it. I only used the reference to get the clothes details right. I even changed her pose.

Gosh! It's like night and day! That sharp version looks SO much nicer! Oh and you're welcome for the tips, I just hope they helped. I look forward to seeing more of your artwork soon. =)

Well..I decided to post the same drawing, but a much more sharper version. This was actually the original version of the drawing before I decided to soften the image and this made the pic look really blurred. So..here goes.

I like it.. did you have to print out a pic of rydia to draw that.. i know I'd need to.. but damn that is really good

Since I am no artist, you can take my words as a grain of salt. For a first attempt though, I will say, since you got the eyes down the rest is easier to follow through. Most artists draw me in with captivating eyes, so you won me over on in from the get go. I like the definition around her waist and chest area, very accurate with the rippling on the left side (right side if you are thinking mirror angle). Also her clothes are pretty good, might need a tad bit of work, but since I have no experience in this trade, I'm going to have to say overall excellent first attempt!

Thanks so much for saying that! Yeah, I agree with you there when you say that the clothing needs work. When you say that eyes are the things that it is the that draw you to a drawing, the same goes with me. haha..
