Lazy Friends

Have you ever been in the position where a friend hasn't really understood a class, or blatantly doesn't try, so you spend half the time doing THEIR work, as well as your own, because you feel sorry for them and don't want them to fail?

I have a friend who, if it weren't for me, would have failed Law by now. EVERY lesson I listen to the teacher and make notes and stuff, like we're meant to do - she sits there and falls asleep.

I do the questions, she copies, or gets me to explain them to her and then does half a page and gives up.

And then, when we're trying to joke around and whatnot - to unwind after doing shitloads of Law work - she just whines about herself all the time.

It's so tiring. I'm having to hold her hand in Law and put up with her whining, and she smokes she she REEKS of vile cheap fags. It's horrible.

Yet I don't say anything to her as I know she'd get upset, and outside of the classroom she's a really really great and fun person and I don't want to fall out with her. But she is doing. my. head. in.

Anyway...well if you don't talk then there's not much else you can do about it, can you? You don't have to bitch at her, just try and keep it in a cool manner or something. So she may get upset, but it can't be worse than a shitstorm. It should pass quickly, especially since she's dependant on you.

Actually you know what, I have no idea wth I'm saying since I'm not even sure what the real problem is. You just want her to stop copying off you or to stop whining so much? Or both?

Lol she sounds like me back in junior high. I had a friend that would always help me with the lessons, but unlike your friend, I actually do try to understand although I'll mess around a bit too just coz' I get bored. But yeah, I understand where you're coming from.

I tend to fall asleep during lessons and I'll copy off of my friends during lunch time just coz' I couldn't read my own writing coz' I was half-asleep trying to jot notes down, so naturally it's so messy it's pathetic. I didn't do this every single day though.

Anyway, my friend that helped me out a lot...she's a one of a kind, that's for sure. She helped me because she didn't want me to fail my tests - she was my best support throughout high school. I need to get in contact with her again. This thread just reminded me of her. >.>
