Why are Square trying to create a massive FF7 franchise and a massive FF13 franchise?

Why can't they just stick with good old Final Fantasy? D:

I mean..are they just gonna keep making FF13s until people are begging for them to remake the first one? .__.
 
There are many people around the world who get bored by playing the same thing.
New Final Fantasies contain new elements which may be better than old ones.
It's not fun if you play Final Fantasy XIII and you find that all abilities, magic, items, summons, and super attacks are identical to the ones FF made for the past 10 years.
As I played FFXII I was pleased to find new things that FF didn't have before.

We can't stick to that one thing forever. That's how human nature is.

As for remakings of games, there's no need of it. It's sad that SE couldn't make FFVII remain the same, except for the graphics.

its because they know peoplw will buy up Final Fantasy VII stuff, and im no exception. and this is a big release for 13 its the first on the next gen systems so they are able to do a lot, and again its for the money, ill buy them up.
 
But what about...8? Or...6?

And 9 was always my favourite. I'd love a chance to buy a bunch of them up. ]=
 
Final Fantasy 7 is a big hit, and there are just milking the life out of it, dont blame them. As for 13, im really excited to play it. Hopefully its better then FF 12...
 
But I like ALL the 7 games. And I like 12.

I just want them to make a 9 movie. I don't give a shit about quality or substance. D<
 
As 7 is the most popular they will continue to franchise the game for those fans. Yes its frustrating as Im not that big a fan of 7, I love 8. But the masses love 7, so thats whats going to continue coming out for the market.
 
I guess it's because they want to attract more fans instead of keeping the same ones.

Obviously they dont ... you just have to learn that 7 is the most popular and may always will be sadly.

It's very Field of Dreams, I think...if they build it, fans will come. They'll keep making whatever gets 'em moneys. So, if you don't like something, guess what? You don't have to buy it. But if other people DO like it & buy it, obviously it's not bad enough for them to stop.
 
Actually count yourself lucky, an FFIX film would suck terrible balls. and VIII and pretty much anything else. Roll on XIII and its sisters!
 
I doubt they'll ever make a FF7 remake for the better gen consoles sadly. They already announced they wouldn't anywayz. Tbh i think FF7 is to overused
