help on final fantasy V advanced

okay.. so i just finished with the fire crystal..but i cant figure out how to find mid or do anything else after that.. could someone please help me out? i dont know how to get through the desert or what to do now.. so please.. help me out? i dont know if this is the right forum.. but i had to try..
 
Can you please tell me where you are, like Karnak Castle? Im sure Ill be able to help you then, if you dont remember where you are, just tell me that last place u remember ;)
I played this a long time ago so I dont remember...
 
OK I think I know where you are...
when your in the library head west through a passage between 2 mountains, and you reach the desert of shifting sands?
You go on any tile, it all takes you to the same place, and meet Cid and Mid, you need to make a bridge so you need to kill a sandworm first, it's got 3000 HP, he is really annoying, Aqua Breath (Blue Magic) should kill it easily!
Make sure your going south, trying new tiles, try different paths, it might take some time to find out though...
 
the problem i am facing is that the tile thingies i step on.. all take me back to the place i started. to get to the other ones.. i have to get passed these cactus like things. but i dont know how to.. i am playing the game boy advanced version of ffV. i dont think its the same as the playstation version.. and thats where i need help...
 
I don't remember any cacti in that part of the game...but to get past the desert, you need to plunder into the library and find Mid, which is where you'll fight a boss named Byblos (beat him down with Magic, but no physical...it doesn't do much)...and you'll save Mid. Naturally, Cid will come there and all is well.

I'm not sure what exactly happens after that...but I do know that you meet Cid and Mid in the desert so they can summon a Sandworm for you to make a bridge out of. Just go to GameFAQs...they've got everything.
 
are you guys talking about the Final Fantasy V game for the playstation? because i cant get farther in the library or past the desert.. i have the gameboy advanced version.... so it might be a little different

So do I...Maybe you should go back to Karnak, because I think you have to talk to Cid there before you get to the library.

Wait...OH! Go to the pub in Karnak and go upstairs. VCid should bge there moping about his lost grandson. THEN you go to the library (avoid the sand, because you can't kill the Dhorme Chimera right now), and you should see some scenes occur. Then you go down into the basement areas of the library and find Mid.

Do you know how to enter the basement of library?
the entrance is I think buried book shelf.

you should go to the basement of library and meet Mid.

you must take a devil of fire (sorry, I don't know correct spell. IFRIET?
you can get him on roof of library

if you went to the basement, you would notice that some bookshelf are blocking your way.
and you can touch some point on bookshelf.
if you touched, bookshelf would move.
 
I don't remember so cleary, but I think about 3 or 4 ways.
can you step on bookcases?
you can move some bookcases, and step on them, enter a next room.:)

EDIT:
the entrance to the next room is the right.
