Why does fire use more MP as you level it up? Shouldn't spells become easier with more use?

not really, as the more powerful it becomes, the more power it requires to cast it.

but it's not becoming more powerful though, it takes the same amount off.

then you must be becoming more powerful in whole, so the power you need to use it stays the same basically. it's complicated math that i barely understand and do not wish to go into right now, ask me later for details

Ummm, spell damage is based on your Magic, but is limited so magic whores don't abuse it. SOOOOOOO, higher magic = more damage, SOOOOOOO, higher levels = more MP needed to continue frying little bastards into oblivion.


Or, maybe it costs more MP so people don't whore the spell to it's max level in a giant 24 hour red-bull and hot-pockets fueled grind. Bloody spell whorez.

Although I must say, it hardly takes 24 hours to level the Fire spell to it's max level, because it's max level is only 3. XD

That's pretty pointless for such a weak spell. Why not increase the MP per level on a spell like Meteor or Ultima?

Yeah, I found it to be kind of pointless myself, where my max MP is always in multiples of 20, the MP cost, even going up by a point or two, makes so I can't use it as much.

But I don't use it anyways, my attacks are stronger, and don't cost MP.

Ahh the Meteor spell.

For a special bonus there is always the Cookie Monster Attack.

Yes, stolen chocolate chip cookies, fresh from the oven, recovers 150 HP.

Man, it'd be cool to have a meteor spell, Ultima would be great too, but I'll bet that by the time I get those, my attacks will probably be stronger than those, too, if I could even learn them.

Why do I say if I could learn them? Well, I was at first deciding I'd be a mage, but when I see my Combat skill, it would seem to be such a shame to not take full advantage of that.

So I've more recently been considering maybe being a Knight/Warrior, when the time to pick a Class/Job comes.

I'm just curious about what spells Knights/Warriors can't learn, but the best spell I have so far, they can use (Energy Focus), so that does make it a lot more tempting.

Energy focus came along with another spell in the last RPG both of which were SOOOOOOOOOOOOO easy to abuse. If you put them into this RPG make them less... abusable...

Energy Focus already is in the RPG. >.> And it's great, I almost beat Dark Cloud when I was using Energy Focus at it's max level.
