Did anyone else like the fact that you were penalized in this game for running? It did get somewhat annoying at times but I think that you should get penalized a certain percent of the time for running from enemies.

It has never ever been over a couple of hundred, if that, that is taken away so ive never been fused with that little feature. But I do think its a good idea to be penelised whenever you run from a battle, maybe in future FF's SE will think of more ways for us to stick with the battles and think twice before running away.

A couple hundred?!?! I've dropped over 50,000 running from the dragons at the end of the last cave. It's still not that big of a deal because you don't really need money at that point of the game anyways.

I've never quite gotten that far before, my patience seems to dwindle quickly due to the mass amounts of levelling up that is required to comfortable progress. I got as far as getting the Lunar Whale on the Advance version tho untill my file got wiped :cry2:

The end is the best part of the game. Download a SNES emulator and the rom and play it on your computer. It's worth it.
So I've heared. I have been playing it via ROMS, hense the easy lose of files for me cos I jus cant help but see what 'that liddle button' does.
Advance is better tho, doesn't seem as tidious than the SNES versions. maybe its just me tho.

I can relate to the deleted files on the roms, it happens all too often. I'll have to try the advance version, I have it but just haven't started it yet.
