I don't have a lot of time to post a big description (I'm in school and can only use the computer for a little bit). So I'll be blunt.

This is a club for the people who do not like Cloud/Aeris as a couple. However, this doesn't mean that you have to hate EVERY kind of relationship that Cloud/Aeris might have (such as friendship and such). If you like Cloud, if you like Aeris, if you like their relationship but hate the idea of the two being lovers, then this is the place for you. Please join and we'll start discussing.

Count me in. I hate Cloud and Aeris, but not so much the other bond they had. I especially hate people who glorify Cloud and Aeris to the point where they say "LOL AERIS IS BEAUTIFUL AND PERFECT AND PINK AND HER PIXELS MADE THE FF7 WORLD GO 'ROUND SHE CAN DO NO WRONG" and make Cloud out like some perfect badass SOLDIER that he's not. It's just OOC, and not consistent with their real characters, the characters that Nomura intended them to be.

Personally I dislike Cloud/Aeris because the fans (as the name of the club states) makes the "couple" out to be something that it isn't. For example, the hand reaching scene at the end of Final Fantasy VII. Remember when they tried to say that I "manipulated Cleristh moments in my Cloti AMV" just because I threw the hand-reaching scene in there? If they bothered reading the Maiden, they'd see that Aeris reaching out to him for one, wasn't in the least bit romantic, and two, was guiding him to Tifa's hand.

Same thing applies for the Bahamut Relay. They try to say "Cloud's eyes widen and he has a longer moment and more dramatic moment when Aeris reaches out to him and takes his hand". The fact that he's seeing a ghost coming down to help him is a big "no-nevermind" to them, right? That happens on a daily basis. That SURELY wouldn't have surprised him or made the scene a little dramatic. IT MUST BE LOVE.

Fucking Dark Bahamut. And no, I refuse to Zanmato him, I prefer to do it fairly.
 
Okay.... if there's one thing I dislike about Cloud/Aeris, it's mostly the fanfiction. Almost all of them are completely the same. Cloud is some arrogant, coldhearted, obsessive asshole. Tifa's a clingy, suicidal bitch. Aeris gets revived so Cloud can fuck her. Cloud commits suicide and fucks Aeris. Cloud says something too romantic/sappy that totally butchers his character. Jesus Christ people, these. have. been. done. before.

I also have to say that Cloud/Aeris AMV's are a real killjoy too. Pretty much you take all the AC clips of Aeris and recycle them over and over because she's only in the game/movie for about 20 seconds and the song of choice is too long. Quite possibly the most boring thing ever (although I must admit, they're not as irritating/boring/stupid as the Invader Zim AMV's I've watched. I mean honestly, a Tak/Zim AMV tribute to the song "God Help the Outcasts" from the Hunchback of Notre fucking Dame? Kill me please).

Oh my God, quoted for fucking truth. I hate hate HATE the way Cloud is portrayed in fanfics like that, and for the longest time ever I wondered if anyone felt the same way as me, if they didn't think that Cloud was some stupid desperate necro jerk who'd ditch Tifa and then go fuck a revived Aeris... or if I was the only one who actually thought Cloud wasn't that fucking emo or that he actually loved Tifa as his first choice, not second best just for a good fuck. *rants* :mad: The good news is these are slowly dying out though... but I'm still amused to find some newer ones like that on ff.net. Srrsly, wtf are these people smoking anyway?
