I know you watch Family Guy. Who can blame you? it's one of the best animated series of all time! the highlight of the show is its wittiness and use of old and modern time humor. Jokes about Star Wars and Dukes of Hazzard and many others really make the show. you should check it out if you've never seen it.

Family Guy is grossly overrated. It was far better prior to its cancellation than it is after.

The episodes consist of random, interchangable "jokes" that don't relate to the plot in the least bit.

"This reminds me of the time when I met [insert random celebrity] at [insert random location]."

Once that's done, attach some completely random course of action to the celebrity. Maybe Peter's recalling the time when he met Britney Spears at Disney World, where she dove in the dolphin tank and proceeded to try talking with the dolphins even though she should know it isn't possible to understand the noises they make. What follows is a prolonged scene (there's plenty of these in Family Guy...I guess it's meant to be funny) where the characters babble with each other for literally 2-3 minutes.

Pretty stupid, right? I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if I saw something like that on Family Guy.
 
Family guy is great. i don't really care if the joke is relevant or not, I just watch it for the hilarity and t really the storyline. It's a comedy not a drama.

i agree it was better before it was cancelled than after, but we all need something totally irrelevant occansionly, and family guy provides it
 
Although I love to watch the hilarity of Family Guy, I'm stuck with watching The Simpsons.
Family Guy is really funny and random. And a talking baby? Beats out all the other babies of all the TV shows.
 
I absoultly love family guy, its been my favourite tv show for awhile now.

@ VoN - That is what that show is all about. Its suppose to have randomness to it. If you dont like it then why bother watching it. Its one of the funniest things ive ever seen. The Randomness makes the show so funny. And id love to see that on Family Guy so i can laugh some more =D
 
I love Family Guy, the stupidity of it is always worth a laugh. And Stewie and Lois carry that show, in my opinion.

Although, I've yet to see Family Guy Presents Blue Harvest, but I'll probably download it and stick it on my iPod :D

That episode I did watch. I wonder why they called it Blue Harvest after it being based on the Star Wars galaxy...?
 
IMO stewie is one of the weakest characters.

Although I love to watch the hilarity of Family Guy, I'm stuck with watching The Simpsons

the simpsons is much smarter than family guy as it parodies real life whereas family guy is just a collection of jokes, although its still funny

The Simpsons? PAH. It is seriously boring to me nowadays. I think it's aimed more at children with its less than funny jokes, whereas Family Guy is aimed at an older audience, which is why it appeals to me more. And the fact that it's actually funny. Random funny is still funny.

The Simpsons Movie, SUCKED.

Simpsons Movie, rocked. It showed a bit of noodz. I bet you didn't even watch it.
Family Guy, still rulez. But gawd, I want ta stop seeing the random and see some plot-related jokes.
I also wanna see a feature of Seth Green. He rocks.^_^

Who's to say I continued watching the show when I determined I didn't like it? If you happen to enjoy the show, then terrific. I'm overjoyed for you. My opinion just happens to conflict with yours.

Oh, and I do agree with Young Knives when he says the Simpsons is the superior show.
 
what really makes family guy great, in my opinion, is how they make fun of our pop culture history. where else can you see them make fun of the Aliens by making it gay? or by putting a clip of that girl who cried over Sanjaya at a mayoral election? No where, that's where!

Now, I do enjoy the Simpsons, but this thread is about "Family Guy".
 
I enjoy Family Guy, I don't really care how unrelated to topic the jokes are, the point is, to me, the majority of them are funny.
I also enjoy the Simpsons though, but I think Family Guy is a lot funnier and better
 
Family Guy is good. I almost stopped liking it after the 2 part South Park episodes 'Cartoon Wars' but I'm beginning to enjoy it again. Definitely better than the Simpsons these days as I think The Simpsons are trying to copy Family Guy as their more recent episodes seem to feature some random moments as well as their jokes below average.

For me though, South Park wins it with Family Guy second and Futurama third.
 
I love Family Guy, I actually look forward to it every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday! It's one of my favorite shows right now, I find it enjoyable and I love the adult humor in it. Yes I think the show doesn't always make sense but that's what I love about it.

Bart's frontal scene is epic Phail in comparison to Peter's :monster: And I have watched it. The funniest bit what Otto smoking the bong, which wasn't meant to be funny. Then again, the 'meant to be funny' parts included Spider Pig. Spirder Pig was lame.


Stewie and Brian are my favourite characters. For me, they carry the show. Infant mastermind and a talking dog. Pwnage.
 
yea family guy is great im watching a episode right now lol. The jokes are funny enough to keep me watchin before and after the cancelation of it
 
i like Lois. it kills me when she makes a drug joke. my favorite is the episode when brian was a drug inspector and he caught a guy w/ some coke. when he asked everyone if they knew the worth of the drugs, lois answers "lets see...4 kilos uncut Nicaraguan...about 1.2 mil?" and brian says "...yes...thats right." hilarious...
