The first time watching advent children I was really surprised to see Rufus and Tseung. I thought that both of these had died in FF7. I know Rufus is wounded in advent children on the result of his injuries from weapon but didnt Tseung get stabbed by Sephiroth in the temple of the ancients. How the hell is he in it.

I was surprised to see Rufus, i thought he died in weapons attack, but im fairly sure its explained in an official Novel or DoC somehwere....

as for Tseng i didn't think he died when Sephiroth attacked him, i just thought he got greviously wounded...

To survive Sephiroths sword is a sign to show the man is tough and the head of the Turks.

yeah i was surprised with tseng and rufus i thought would get a chopper out of the building because an annoying guy like that has to come back XD

i wasn't suprised. i really didnt think they would kill Rufus off... As for Tseng, meh i didnt think he died either.

Same here, so it was a surprise and a treat to see him. I always thought the "man in the wheelchair" was Sephy. The amount of threads I read on various forums where people were certain it was Sephy and knocked back anyone who said otherwise! So I wish I had seen their faces when Cloud says "Rufus" when he encounters him lol :P

I knew it wasnt Sephiroth, it is not his style, Sephiroth is all out attack, no hiding in the shadows.

and why would sephiroth be in a wheelchair? and why would sephiroth start acting weak to kadaj, his own clone!

It thought it was great that the Turks were involved at all. I was surprised that Rufus was included at all. I heard a rumour that it was Aeries in the wheelchair o.0
Tseng didn't really have much of a role at all, but was still a good shock to see him included at all.

I wasn't surprised that Rufus was in the movie. I was surprised when they showed Rufus's face without any scars. Then again Rufus turned his face away when Diamond weapon attacked the Shinra building. Still, a little unbelievable that Rufus miraculously survived the attack.

As for Tseng, really....fan service. Same goes for Rufus when he showed his face, fan service.

I think I had a hunch it was Rufus in the wheelchair before Cloud realised anyway so it wasn't really a shock for me, as for Tseng...which one is that again? :P

why didnt rufus encounter more wounds than the loss of his eye?

he clearly had no issues with any other part of his body as he had no trouble freefalling off a building while trying to shoot jenova

I thought rufus was killed in the explosion in FFVII so i was surprised he was still alive in AC

Kazushige Nojima in the Advent Children Reunion Files:"The wheelchair he's in is actually part of his ruse, but on the other hand he did sustain a lot of injuries in the game, so he's not exactly in perfect shape."
^ There's your answer.

As for how Rufus is able to pull off that stunt:
I think that he strained himself to be able to do it, and when he is being healed of his Geostigma, he looked tired; so I'm convinced that the stunt took a a good amount of energy out of him.

I was simply pointing out what I seen on other forums and I didnt know the basics of the movie. I had no idea there was going to be a connection with Kadja and Sephy did I?

I wasn't that surprised when u find out that its rufus in the wheel chair coz cloud has a flashback of weapon blasting him in midgar. I think it ruined the story just a little because when rufus supposivly died in FF7 I thought it was quite dramatic. Anyway as for tseng I do remember him being stabbed and Aeris being upset. Yeah I didnt think he actually died either.

Many people were stabbed by Sephiroth, not everyone dies. Rufus, I was so hoping he was still alive, and once again brandishing his shotgun.

First time I played FFVII I always thought Tseng survived but fans who thought he died made me think he died. It is made clear in the game that he is alive.
I knew beforehand that Rufus dies ( and bad guys usually dies) but when I saw his "death" I thougth he could have survived.

I dont like AC so I don´t count it as part of FFVII contiunity and actually I don´t count any of FFVII compilation projects.

yeah it was surprising to see rufus, i thought he had died. but as for tseng, i really thought he was dead. i could have sworn he had died at the temple of the ancients. i was even more surprised to see aeris, at first i thought she was still alive...until i noticed that it was clearly just cloud's thoughts, lol.
