If a moderator could take care of the other thread with the same title, that would be great. This just makes things easier.

Midfielder cleansheet (MID only) - 2 pts
Goal (all positions) - 5pts
3+ goals (all positions) - 5 bonus pts
7+ rating in The Sun (all positions) - 3 pts

The team must have kept a clean sheet after 90 minutes (120 if a cup game goes to Extra Time) for a clean sheet bonus to apply.
Points awarded by The News Of The World only apply to games played on a Saturday.

I'll be updating the league table on a Monday, as that's when The Sun update the scoring. If you'd like a scoring break down for your team for the week, PM me and I'll let you know as soon as I can.

Great, I've been looking forward to this.

I knew my team would be better than dimmufan's

Gabranth does know that Faubert has been ruled out for the first 6 months of the season or w/e, right? or does that not apply here?

It applies here, as it's based on performances in games that they actually play in. I believe that Faubert's injury is only recent though? Because Gab submitted his team a long time ago. Anyway, if he reads this before Saturday, then he's allowed to make changes to his team. Just PM me.

I'm just hoping Nugent does well this season, I don't think he's scored many this pre-season...

Alright, I've spent the last three hours setting up a spreadsheet with all the eligible players in, and updating the scores. Serious pain, but it's going to make things a hell of a lot easier in the long run.
And the first league table is up, with me (=D) on top, quite a clear front runner so far. dimmufan; you're waaay behind the rest, but things will pick up. If anyone wants a scoring break down of how their team did (including last night's Tottenham v Everton game) then PM me and I'll get to it as soon as I can.

Oh can you call my team Gabranth please? :monster:

Hmm i'm second not bad considering i don't know much about football :monster:

I've just realised that I made a mistake with the league table. Gabranth somehow got an extra three points from how I worked it out, but I've got an equation set up in the spreadsheet now that calculates everyones scores as I update it. Saves me a lot of time, but it now stands that Gabranth and DR are joint second.

EDIT: Updated for last night's results and DR's overtaken at the top now, and Gabranth has caught up to me a bit. =[
lagunas dream and dimmufan are getting left behind a little, but it's only two game in.

It's nice to see Grove F.C. at the top

I knew dimmufan's team would be no good

He's got a half decent team, but there's players like Walcott who I'd take out.

Losing Rooney has totally fuxxed me up. Hopefully my faith in Earnshaw pays off early. I'd be doing far better if Champions League qualifiers counted towards the points. Sadly it's only the CL proper that does.

Updated again for this weekend's results. DR went clear at the top, lagunas dream and dimmufan scored a shit load of points to catch up, while I barely got anything and I'm rock bottom. Failure. I blame my strikers.
Again, if anyone wants a scoring break down, PM me and I'll get it done as soon as I can.

It sux that Rooney gets hurt in the first game of the season. Now my main striker is out for a while and Arsenal won't play Walcott up front. Not to mention Cech can't block a shot. But that's alright my team will still come out on top.

Walcott's getting a game now that Arsenal are having a bit of a midfielder crisis, but Wenger has said that he'll be using him a bit more this season.
I've lost Rooney too, Earnshaw is failing (though he's only played one game) and Pizarro is a diving twat. Not to mention none of my defence can keep a clean sheet to save their lives.

Well I ain't got much to say lads except the view looks good from the top

We may have hit a snag. With today being Bank Holiday Monday, I couldn't get hold of The Sun, and therefore no points. Hopefully they'll be in tomorrow's, or I can buy today's Sun tomorrow. If not I've got a lot of annoying work ahead of me. =[

EDIT: Yeah, I had to do it the hard way, but I've done it all. I can't give a scoring break down this week though, for those of you who care.
DR's still top, but there's only 8 points in the top three. I picked up a hefty amount this week, thanks to Fabregas, and got off the bottom. The only way is up. :monster:
Unlucky for lagunas dream, Mark Delaney has retired and so he won't be getting any more points for you. Not that he had done that yet anyway. xD
